White Divinity Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Greetings ! I really appreciate the hair mods out there for men, but I've been trying to make the hair look pure white color, and every damn hair i find has this weird random black/brown hair texture in them as seen here : I know this was made to give the hair more quality feeling to it, but it also makes it as if his hair is originally brown But he decided to go to the hair salon to dye his hair white in order to look cool . So i am asking, is there a way to remove them and make the hair look pure white ? i have GIMP but i am not so sure how to proceed on doing that, so some help will be greatly appreciated :3.
Guest Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Hi. Find the race for the character (NordRace? custom race?). In CK go in the Miscellaneous->ColorForm. Create a new one (set is almost white (not pure white) and playable) Add it to the FormList "HairColorList" Edit your NPC and set this hair color. Actually this can be tricky. For some reasons you may not found the HairColor in the dropdown (I am not sure why sometimes it is here, sometimes it is not.) In any case you can use TES5Edit to open the mod that will add the NPC, go in Color and copy the name/ID. Then edit the NPC and replace the HCLF - HairColor with the one you just copied. Save and try. Warning: DO NOT use a pure white, a light gray is better, or the result will be really odd. If you want to do some brute force, then get the NF for the hair, open it with NifSkope, find the texture(s), edit them in GIMP and increase the brightness reducing the saturation. This will make it more white without loosing too much details. For extreme results you have to follow both ways.
Guest Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Ok, here how to have the new HairColor for the drop down in the NPC editor: There are a couple of things you need to do: Edit the race of your NPC. (E.g. Character-->Race-->NordRace) Go to the Face Data tab, right click on the "Available hair Colors" and select New. Pick the color you defined. Do this for both Males and Females if you need. (It is the same race but the definition is different per gender.) Now your edit your NPC and you may be able to select the color for the hair you just defined. In this example you can see the entry csbHairColorReddish for the male Nords.
