hey can anyone make a mod to stop time? I hate when I'm taking screenshots at perfect lighting time but I feel rushed because time passes too fast! can a mod be made to stop time?

I've only found longer nights in my search.. and I don't really want slow motion......... plus I think hours still pass by the same while in slomo!!

I just want the sun to stop moving!

If it's for screenshooting then use the console command "tfc 1". It will stop time AND give you a free-flying camera. :)

Oh wait, I think time still passes, but just use "set timescale to 0" for that. 10 is the default value and is 10 times faster than RL.

A suggestion for 'time management' without affecting gameplay:

use "Set Timescale to 0.001" for timestopping (also having the effect of instant fast travel with regards to the gametime) while still having the game function almost normally, the exeption being followers/npcs going through doors.

For RL timescaling use "SetTimescale to 1" (npcs are a bit slow getting through doors, FT across the map spends a few minutes of ingame time).

When you really want to spend some time but waiting is not an option try "Set Timescale to 3600" (1 second realtime = 1 hour gametime)

To revert to default use "Set Timescale to 20"

ooh, and should you want to reverse the clock try negative values, might come in handy when you just miss the opening hours of you local vendor or you need the sun to back up a bit (npcs do NOT reverse btw) :) (IE. "Set Timescale to -20")

making a few txt files with selected values makes this process a lot easier (place in skyrim folder, not data)

Final note: tampering with the time can make certain quests behave erratically.

hope this can help you catching those special moments :)

i don't have the file with me but I will post it up in the morning. i made a ring that slows time to less than a third of normal, but i can adjust the scale to stop it outright. you can still move around like normal but the world is stopped.

if you don't want to wait it's pretty simple to make, open the cs, under magic find the one called something like shoutslowtime, give it a new name and id, change the effect radius or time whatever, to constant. ove in the animations and effects tab just remove all of that so you can take nice pics without having the effects running.

next go to enchantments, make a new one called whatever you want, add in the new magic you just made and set the strength or however it's called to 0.0. that will stop time. a value of 1 is normal time, 0 is stopped and anything in between slows it by that much.

next just pick a ring or amulet or whatever you want, give it a new name and id, and give it the new enchantment. now in game you can favorite it and hotkey it, whenever you hit the hotkey time will stop.

I'm just doing that off the top of my head so it may be a tad off but hopefully you get the idea. i can upload it tomorrow when I'm back at my computer

Anyone else pop into this thread thinking it was going to be about something like Dio from JoJo's? I can't be the only one that wants to freeze time and throw knives at people in this game...

haha, thats what I use it for! I have it set to lower time to about a fifth of normal, so everyone's still trying to swing at me just super slowly. Great fun to step around arrows, light people on fire, slice a few up and then turn time back to normal and watch all the bodies and blood suddenly go back to real time. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is that killmoves seem to be disabled while it's active.

oh yeah,

the first one stops time, second one slows it, type help "ring of time" to get the item code
