Help! Understanding SexLab Framework, Complementary Mods

Hello,


I have been looking everywhere and I just can't seem to understand how to tap into simple sex animations. When people say Sexlab is a framework, what does that mean exactly? What do I do to simply initiate various sex acts and positions?


 


The mods I've tried to use do not seem to work and I don't understand how they connect to SexLab (ex. MatchMaker, AllNudePlay). I have the load order set so Sexlab loads before these other mods but I can't seem to get it to work. For example, I have the spells and the ring for each of the last two mods listed but when I activate them or put the ring on, nothing happens. I've also done Generate FNIS after installing as well as ensuring the load order is correct using LOOT. I've used other FNIS animations but I can't seem to get anything, including Sexlab, the mods associated with it or ZaZ animations, to work. Can anyone point out where I might have gone wrong or please lay out a clear, newbie-friendly guide that includes what Sexlab is EXACTLY, how other mods work with it and exactly how it is used ONCE YOU ARE IN THE GAME. I know it's a lot to ask, but I've spent a lot of time researching and I can't seem to find the answer on my own.

You can think of Sexlab as a OS and Mods as Programs that run on that OS using the OS resourse, call the OS function etc.

 

When you install Sexlab, you have to configure Sexlab (use its MCM) to suit your taste.  Most of mods also has its own MCM to configure its behavior.

 

Read each mods instruction clearly in its own thread to see how its suppose to work and basic use of the mod.

 

I don't use Matchmaker but I know that it will add few spell to you so you can use it to yourself or other NPC.  Try each of the to see its result.

I know I've been very careful with installation of the framework, prereqs and the variety of mods that run on sexlab. I'll try to explain what happens in game when I try to use the mods.

 

When I open game, they eventually load on the MCM and I have all of the options to modify it and use the spells and dialogue that come with it. In other words, the game clearly recognizes that the mods are installed. However, whenever I use the spells or dialogue, none of the animations ever take effect. Everything else about the mod works, though. 

 

I haven't read anywhere of this type of thing happening to anyone. It seems like it would be an FNIS problem since everything expect the animations themselves work, but like I said, I've run Generate FNIS many, many times to ensure it is loaded correctly as well as used LOOT to make sure they load in the right order. Nothing seems to make any difference.

Have you check Toggle Animation in Sexlab MCM?

I have problem that some animation (mostly creature) are missing and have to do Animaton registry reset to get it back.
