sinc Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Hi guys, running into a strange bug and hope someone can help me out. All children in Skyrim suddendly disappear on sight. I really don´t know, how long this bug allready exists in my game, because I usually do not care much concerned about it. Today, during the Aventino quest, i reconize this bug the first time. I can talk to him for a moment until he disappears. After waiting a few hours he is short back and immediately disappears again. Really strange. A new game doesn´t solve the problem. I had "RS Children" running for a while with no issuses before i replaced this mod with another Texturemod two weeks ago. The only other mod, which could affect children, is "beeing female", but in both support threads i couldn´t find anything about this bug. So, help would be greatly appreciated.
Xilyana Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Did you replace any child mods on the same save? If you did then thats a huge no no. I personally dont touch child edit mods since they tend to be incompatible with with certain things i use.
sinc Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 Yes, i did and normally i do this really carefully, because i know the "huge no nos" quite well ;-). But also a new game does not solve the problem. Something really messed up this time and i can´t find the culprit.
zenna11 Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 sometime when you replace children skeleton you cant see them dont know why but this happen just try check skeleton children skeleton somwhere and remove it its only sugestion
sinc Posted March 15, 2015 Author Posted March 15, 2015 thanks for the hint, will check it out. Edit: Strange enough. After a few ingame days the problem seems to solved by itself. Everthing works proper again.
hellsponge Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 How long did you have to wait? I am having this same bug, and have been waiting for like 7 days in game. The bug still occurs, with all children. Can you post a mod list?
Romm Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Had the same problem and in case anyone's wondering there's an option that removes child NPC's on sight in the menu for "Devious Devices - More Devious quest" mod. It's on by default and it's under the mood system menu so that was the culprit.
