Guest Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Every time I start up Skyrim from its default launcher, NMM, & the SKSE launcher 7 seconds in right after the iconic drum beat I CTD. I'm new to modding & pc gaming. Is it something to do with my plugins or mods? I started getting the CTD since 4hours now I FOUND THE CULPRIT! it was my BATHING IN SKYRIM. I really want to BATHE IN SKYRIM so how do I get around this problem. I believe I saw "4 DIRTY PLUGINS" in my LOOT. What does that mean? & I'm guessing it's hinting it's my BATHING IN SKYRIM, right?
Meteox Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Bathing in Skyrim comes with compatibility patches for other mods such as Realistic Water Two. If you installed the mod and chose to install patches without having the mods of those patches, it can cause issues. Try to start the game without Bathing in Skyrim, if it worked then you probably installed it incorrectly. Now, because you did not post your load order, it is difficult for us to pinpoint the exact culprit and I'm merely assuming stuff according to what you told us.

Okay got it I'll post my load order next time it becomes an issue but would load order also be an issue if I were getting some noticeable FPS lag? Bc I've been having a tough time with my FPS, I think it's been like that since 2 days ago when I installed SKYRIM to my pc. It was really bad at 1st Audio would play seconds before the animation & lip syncing was just bad but it did get slightly better. It has LOOT built into it, it is a tool designed to make mods more compatible. halieslade Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 At the risk of sounding like a software zealot, may I suggest that you also dump NMM? The plugin management tools you'll find in Mod Organizer (including the ability to link directly to Wrye Bash, LOOT, TES5Edit, Savecleaner, etc, from inside the program) are light years superior to that old, worn out NMM I've had more than my own share of mod issues in Skyrim, but once I figured out how to use MO to diagnose & repair the issues, I can't imagine why I'd ever want to go back. You can use MO to download mods from Nexus or add ones you've created or manually downloaded from other sites, as well (like Lovers Lab). As far as functionality, NMM can't hold a candle to MO. The only downside might be that you'll have to learn a new software program but there are tutorial videos for that, too!

Also, make sure you are running the game on fullscreen mode. I should ask though, are you using any ENB? These tend to have a hit on your performance.

I saw Gophers Tutorials he said they tend to take a toll on FPS. I had FPS problems since I first installed my SKYRIM.LE 2days ago. I didn't play the vanilla tbh bc I have 360 version for that so I wanted to be awestruck with mods on my 1st PC run. Either ways I didn't really get mods just NMM & SKSE but I had serious FPS issues like Audio playing ahead of animations & terrible lip syncing. I ended up Nuking NMM & SKSE yeaterday but reinstalled it a few hours later as well as FNIS & SEXLAB. I feel like I got the hang of modding by now. It got better but it's still noticable that my FPS is disappointing & lags. I had trouble with Defeat also I thought if I was near death a rape would happen but nope I got murdered, any advice on Defeat btw? ~ thanks (:
