Game crashes when I try to play female. Please help!

I updated a heap of mods from this site, thought I did everything correctly but when I try to load my characters the game crashes to desktop. Starting a new game is fine, until I swich gender from male to female, then the problem occurs again! please help, I'm not that good with this kind of thing, all I really know is how to load up the mods.

Try ShowRaceMenuPrecacheKiller by Kapaer.You'll find it on Nexus. It prevents crashes if you have too many mods like hair mod

I had a similar problem once, it was because of a mod addon (esp) for females in Racemenu, I don't remember which one, but I think it was an hair mod and it was not the lack of ShowRaceMenuPrecacheKiller in my case (already had it).

 

If it is like my problem was (an esp), maybe this helps:

Run LOOT if u have not done so already and try to launch the game and repeat CTD.

 

If CTD after LOOT:

 

One way to figure out why CTD, if it is an esp and u have no idea which one, is to do it manually: (may be time consuming and boring)

 

USE AN ALTERNATE START MOD FOR THIS AND DON'T DISABLE IT, VANILLA START WILL KILL YOU TO BOREDOM FOR SURE WHEN DOING THIS! 

-Alternate Start - Live Another Life works fine.

 

1.Disable (untick) half of all the active esps in the plugin window in your mod manager from the BOTTOM and up.

2.Start the game and try to repeat the CTD.

3a. If the game still CTD, repeat from step 1.

3b. If no CTD, enable 50% of inactive esps from the TOP and down, repeat until CTD, when/if CTD repeat from step 1, but only do it for the latest esp u activated before CTD.

4.When u finally find the bad esp, disable/deactivate it and all esps that need it as master or are related if any. 

5 Reactivate all esps u have disabled and still want to use.

6.Start the game, if still CTD, repeat from step 1. there may be more than one bad esp in your list, if no CTD, success.

 

-This way may take time and is probably not the best way to do it, but its easy to and will probably find the bad esp eventually, if that is the reason for CTD that is.

-Also, u may wanna try disabling the most likely mods first, ie hair mods, eyes and any other female character only related mods in this case, maybe its your female starting outfit?

Thanks for your suggestion, but the problem still persists. Still need a hand if anyone can lend one.

 

:EDIT: My bad, didnt see the message abouve. Turns out it worked! I tried it and it hapens to be my armour replacer that makes it CTD. I'm going to try swiching mods to somthing else now to see if it works.

How do get that mod to work properly and the character creation menu would crash is I spent too long picking my characters hair if I have 100+ hair selection.

Nice! Thanks Arthacs. Your suggestion worked, i changed my Armour replacer with Killer Kaos after I did what you sugessted and checked my mods a few at a time. Still cant get my Other characters to work which is a right shame, but starting fresh will be a nice change of pace. Ill leave this open for people to help erza321.
