theskyrimman Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I Have recently downloaded a number of apps on my phone. Now I believe one of them installed some kind of malware or virus on it. I have a Samsung galaxy express and at the top of my phone there is a little bar that says "update now" and switches to "free app install". On the side of my screen there is also a small circle. Both of these lead to either Google play store directly or to an ad related to it when clicked. Also when I open an app called star wars commander and a few others apps ads pop up in Google chrome, again relating to Google play store. I downloaded and ran avast anti virus and it said there was no problems but there is. Anyone got any ideas on how to remove it? I tried to deleting the Data for googleapps and deleting most of the apps I downloaded but it didn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
MikeJones84 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 There are adware removal apps on android. Never tried them myself but might be worth a shot.
