Neck Seam with Adorable Face + Fair Skin Complexion CBBE 7.6

After installing the Fair Skin Complexion Mod and then the adorable face, I realized my character developed to what people call a 'neck seam' (sorry I'm new to modding) where the neck would be a different shade of skin in comparison to the body's skin.

Issues:

- The Fair Skin Complexion's skin is really white (which i like :)) but is contrasted by this disgusting 'yellowish' neck.

- In dark areas, the skin would be considerably brighter than the face which is dark

The neck seam seems more invisible when large amounts of light is on my character's face.

What I've tried to do:

- Caliente's Texture Blender (I have no idea how to use this so I gave up, couldn't find a tutorial :/ )

- NifSkope (Tried to follow instructions from this image, couldn't find the properties to change)

- This semi fix allows me to adjust the colour of the face but doesn't improve much (wwr neck seam fix on nexus)

- FYI I'm using the vanilla Nord Race and this problem is occuring to my character and npcs as well. (Except for custom followers like Sofia, Toccata)

Any ideas or tips on how to fix my neck seam problem?

The base textures (They're called diffuse textures in technical terms if i'm not wrong).

Look for two files called femalehead.dds and femaleheadvampire.dds. They're the you ones you should tweak.

Thanks ! After installing Nvidia plugin to be able to open the dds file, I've played with the the adjustments (Image > Adjustments) and I can't seem to get the colour correct. Any tips on how to apply the correct settings in order to acquire a matching colour with the skin? (Complexion at its most whitest).

I've uploaded my femalehead.dds , if someone could do what I'ved asked above ^ , and upload it here that'd be great ! :D

Im pretty sure Fair Skin is only for female models and the nifskope screen shows you modifying a male body mesh so, do you have issues on your females or not?

Yes I do, after installing Fair Skin Complexion and Adorable Face, my female character has a neck seam problem. Now I just need to know the correct adjustments on photoshop to apply to femalehead.dds in order for it to match the fair skin complexion.

My bad didn't really read that well your OP the pic your got me off guard, can't really help much since I do have a working FSC and adorable face combo I use it for UNP tho, can't really think much for a solution did you add the

[Display]
iTintTextureResolution=2048

in the SKSE.ini

and

[Display]
iTexMipMapSkip=0

In your Skyrim.ini?, is your char the only one looking like that or every female in your game has the issue?, are you using a custom race?

Edit: and last if you are using MO It uses separate Skyrim and SkyrimPrefs.ini files located in the ModOrganizer\profiles\"yourprofilename" directory.

Sorry, my fault i should've stated I was using the vanilla Nord Race (edited it just now) and the vanilla npcs and my character included have this problem. I'll try your solution so thanks !

Hmm for some reason I can't locate where the SKSE ini is? This makes me wonder if I should've ticked off the skse option whilst installing Adorable faces... ( I already had skse installed long before installing the mod, and I thought that option was for people who hadn't installed skse yet.)

SKSE.ini should be placed in your Skyrim\Data\SKSE\Plugins If you dont have one just make a text file and change the extension after adding the lines

Damn it didn't work, and I've reinstalled the Adorable faces mod with the SKSE option ticked as well. I've tried many times to adjust the brightness, exposure and colour of the femalehead.dds but can't get it right. This is frustrating :(

Alright this is what i exactly do to fix the problem my way.

1. Open the femalehead.dds

2. Create a new layer above the base texture

3. Copy this color with eyedropper tool

4. Fill the the empty layer with the color you previously picked with eyedropper tool with brush or paint bucket tool or something else. Up to you.

5. Change the blending option for the layer above the base texture to 'color'

6. Save to dxt1 if you're a casual (like me) or dxt 5 if you're a fucking badass.

7. repeat step 1-6 with femaleheadvampire.dds

8. Dance.

9. You may now make your own virtual waifu.

10. Winning.
