Skyrim not Starting

Hello guys!

 

I stopped playing Skyrim around cristmas and decided to give it a spin again, the problem is its not starting at all! It gets stuck at 76.8Mb of ram on the task manager then it stops loading and CPU activity drops to 0%.

 

I haven't done anything to it but its not staring anymore, the only thing that I did was update drivers but I reverted to the previous version and its still not launching. The only way I can get the game to run is with just the the DLC and no other mods.

 

I'm using the SKSE beta, and launching SKSE trough Mod Organizer.

I tried to check for errors with Tes5Edit. But I had no luck.

 

Any kind of advice would be greatly apreciated, I really dont want to do a clean install.

This is a problem due to the latest steam update, I've had the same problem. 

 

What worked for me, which I found in the MO thread over on nexus was this:

 

Basically start the game through mo, but make sure that steam is not running, use your task manage to stop all processes. Than steam will ask you if it should start steam, tell it yes and than it will tell you to click OK when steam has started, click OK before steam even pops up. And than when steam finally does pop up, log into steam or start it up in offline mode, like I do personally. 

 

And that should start up the game.
