ARabidGrandma Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 So I met all the requirements for Sofia to marry me, but when I talk to her about marrying me, she just dismisses and goes back to the Whiterun stable. A notification says hat she left for my wedding but, like I said, she just goes back to the stables. Apparently, when you talk to her about marriage, the dialogue box is meant to stay up and she teleports to Riften for the marriage to start. Anyone know how to solve this?
nutluck Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Did you update her from the old version before she had a marriage option? I have heard if you had her before that you need to dismiss her first and then get her again so it works right.
HenriDesjardins Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Thing to know: The mod's author basically added the marry Sofia feature because so many folks had asked for it. If you're expecting her to treat you differently afterward, think again. She'll still make all of the same awkward off-color remarks and then walk them back embarrassed-like (or refer to "your dirty mind") the same way she did before your marriage. I kinda feel for the mod's author. He made a change that lots of people wanted, then loads of the same people complained because they didn't put tons more work into changing and re-voicing all of the character's interactions once the player's character is married to her. If those folks wanted a follower who was completely in-character and realistic-acting 95-100% of the time, they probably should've gone with Vilja instead of the intended-to-be-funny-not-at-all-romantic Sofia? I'm not saying you'd be one of those folks, just trying to give you fair warning. Don't expect much in the way of changes out of her. My personal opinion is that she probably makes an even better companion AFTER you marry someone else. That way there's all the more reason for her to get embarrassed about her crush on the Dragonborn and have to walk back the awkward things she lets slip.

Did you try using the "moveto player" command on her to move her to the temple of mara?

Did you try using the "moveto player" command on her to move her to the temple of mara? You don't get married in the temple, but outside next to the thieves guild secret entrance, and you need to wait at least 24 hours ingame time I believe.
