Basic questions from a newcomer -- thanks in advance :)

Hi awesome people,

Looks like you have a great community here.  I'm completely new and I have some basic questions.

  • Does a given mod only work on one version of Skyrim (like ver 1.052). Are there different versions of Skyrim? I have the legendary addition...no updates or anything from online. My question is: do I need to keep track of this stuff? Do I need to update my Skrim somehow?

  • I want to have the best graphics possible. I have a computer that can handle anything. Which body mod is best for me? Is it true that UPC is more "high-def" than CDEC (or whatever it is). It'll be in 1440p.

  • What is the best manager program for mods?

  • What are some mods that I should start with? My preference is for cute females (kind of a anime look but still somewhat realistic) with interesting hair, large breasts that move with gravity, and not large butts.

Thanks so much!!!

I may be wrong, but most mods require the latest version of skyrim to run unless you use old versions of the mod? Get yourself updated! It was a pain in the ass for me too. Get the official hi-res patch, UN-official HF DG DB patches, UN-official hi-res patch. I use Mod Organizer. Get LOOT. Period. Once you have the basics & are up and running smooth, then start adding mod. Take it slow.

1) The Legendary edition came out after the last update. So if you have it, I believe it is the final version which is I think 1.0.62 or something like that. The only version of Skyrim that is not up to date and current is pirated one and most mods only work with the latest version.

2) There is a ton of body mods, including a lot of variations of UNP and CBBC which are the two most common bodies. Best to just look at the varies bodies and decided which one fits what you are looking for.

3) MO is the best one as far as functions but it has a fairly steep learning curve. NMM is not as good but is much easier to use, so which is best really depends on what is more important to you.

4) What mods comes down to a lot on personal taste. Like I love immersive mods like Frostfall, ineeds, etc. While other people don't like them. As far as the type of female that has to do with the body mod so see point 2 above. As for other mods there is tens of thousands of mods so it really comes down to personal preference. If you are looking for specific types of mods then feel free to ask and people can give you suggestions.

You're welcome.
