Mission Mojave - Ultimate Edition

Recommended Posts

Thx U ritualclarity, you have always been good to help me ( not to menetion the many helpful mod's you have put together, and toutoring things or how to things ). I guess I should have rephrased the question a little.

   My brother has started to actually help me more with Mum, and dad, so i have a little more time than I did have, but it comes in spurt's

I was just wondering if there were any game fixing mods, that perhaps I should be using.

I normally never use any of the unofficial patches ( Many of them fix game bug's that I like to abuse, as much as ones that are actually needed ), and have not used one here, but I was sort of wondering if maybe there were some that I should be using.

Thx you Doctasax, and Keyser

I did look at the yup (long funny name one) I thought about it, but as i read it looked like he fixed things that I would have left alone, I mean I really only want game busting game fixes fixed.

   I mean if i can turn in the same quest 100 time to some jerkwad NPC and get exp, and bottle caps each time, I don't care about that.  What I do care about are those,  I can't finish that quest bug's, or quest fails to start bugs, save game bug's, you know actual game stopping problems.

   And I have stumbled onto some of these while playing, I may try Yup. If I can get it I might try that NVEC one, all I ever find is that huge monster

{{Mission Mojave - Ultimate Edition}

 And Nexus is so screwed up with large downloads for me, that I seem to always fail at nexus if the download is very big. I have a really sucky ISP, and there the only Broad band I can get where I live, they have a Monopoly on the phone system here, and there is no cable :(

  I will see if I can find those two , I assume i can install them with Fomm, and then latter is I find them like really screwy, I should be able to cull them, I hope.

   Thx you all very Much, this answered a lot of questions I had

I would like to second the choice of YUP over other options.

I used to be a fan of <NVEC> before. Unfortunately, it has become an unmanageable, bloated mess to me, and I found better alternatives for the parts that I really was interested in :

- bug fixes -> YUP

- NPC replacer -> FCO

- "performance" tweaks -> none (I can live without those, thanks to NVAC + NVSR + ENB).

The best thing about YUP is that it doesn't *force* anyone to use DLC plugins that they don't want in their game (to my knowledge, it does not even require NVSE). I've recently caved in, and bought OWB + HH, but I don't care enough about the other DLCs to save them an ESM/ESP slot. I really, really have grown picky by necessity (limit of 120 or so ESPs), and what I don't use in-game gets out.

According to Yukichigai, most if not all of his fixes are motivated : "real" fixes, not convenience ones. Even if I don't necessarily with you (the game is easy enough as it comes), I can see why you'd argue about the need of fixing "exploits" as well.

Yeppers! I was considering Yup over the others.

as to FCO are there any problems with it and SexoutNG, and body mod, I believe I am using T6

I have had NVSR installed for some time, and allthough I never really noticed a major studder in my game play, I like having it there.

I had NVAC downloaded for some time, but never installed it, I just did, I will see how this one goes.

Yup maker also has a fix for some of the bugs in "come fly with me" the Goul rocket thing. I never had a problem with this mission, but was considering that one also

FCO is one of those huge download's for me from nexus that may or may not finish download with out failing, I will try to get that one again, I think i tried before, but it kept failing.

here is My Load order, I have ample room for some extra ESP, and ESM I think.

If you like custom skeletons, allow me to tell you about one last little gem hidden in the LL vault :

body morph

A couple of "flyers" to finish, do with whatever you like :

* why not add a couple of companions mods : Willow, Niner, Vanessa, Andrea, Delilah, Wendy, pick your poison, they're all good ^.^

* here are a couple of quest mods I can really vouch for (I had no issues with them whatsoever) :
- http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/43757 afterschool special - sortomatic [ v4.0 ]-43757.7z
- http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/40433 the new bison steve hotel and lucky casino [ v1.07 ]-40433.7z
- http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/52197 Saxxon's quest collection [ v0.85 ]-52197.7z

* no <Project Nevada> ? I think you're missing out on alot of fun!

* I also hear good things about someguy's series [ v1.0 ]-48925.7z (New Vegas Bounties, etc.), had them installed too, but they don't fit in the main quest as nice as the above mods. They are huge mods size wise, and voiced. I will give them another try later.

The rest really depends on your playing style : do you see FNV as a FPS first, or a RPG ?

1/ if FPS, then you could add :

- project nevada [ v2.5 ]-40040.7z
- EVE final [ v1.15a ]-42666.7z
- a world of pain [ v5.01 ]-38719.7z (I play the older version, the newer version seems more demanding resource wise, and lacked many compatibility and balancing patches last time I checked)
- factions - mojave reloaded [ v1.2 ]-54113.7z
- factions reloaded - legion [ v1.9 ]-51983.7z
- factions reloaded - raiders [ v1.21 ]-52309.7z

2/ if RPG, then you could look into :

- more perks [ v2.45 ]-35979.7z
- more traits [ v1.15 ]-35979.7z
- real smokes [ v1.0b ]-46532.7z
- NV interiors - core [ v2.0 ]-43534.7z
- Lauren's bathroom poetry [ v1.0 ]-41961.7z (oh come on, you know you want this one!)
- modified combat values [ v2.01 ]-40097.7z
- sexout - dynamic relationship layer (SODRTL) [ v20150121vA ].7z (loving this one so far, and wishing it would be expanded upon!)
- sexout - wear-and-tear [ v3.9 - 20141123 ].7z (very nice too combined with sexout - solliciting [ v5.34 - 20150124 ].7z)

EDIT : Gah, looks like the editor bugged out on me >.< Anyway, I am sure you can connect the missing dots.

EDIT 2 : About FCO conflicting with Sexout, I really, really would like to have someone explain this to me, if it was true. As I see it through FNVedit, there's nothing inside <FCOmaster.esm> that seeks to conflict with <Sexout>. It's not even a body replacer.

EDIT 3 : FCO rocks, no, really. I think you won't want to go back once you've tasted its heavenly graphical candy goodness ^.^

I tried to help.. :(

I haven't felt a real need to use any of these fixes. I only use them on occasion and only if needed. Many times they are an afterthought. Kind of like you. All those helpful mods I have put together.. actually were someone elses mods I am only watching and helping users with ;). They all have the original authors credited if you are curious.. :P Now those tutorials.. yes.. I put a lot of work into many of them. Almost as much as I would have put into making my own mods... lol.

Well you use a mod manager so I would say set yourself up the way you want with the mods you desire then install one of them and test them out, if you don't like it uninstall it.

right now I have FCO installed, only thing I had to do was use another mod High-res eye mod, and that fixed the eye's looking to the extreme right all the time, I think is conflict with Mikoto mod, anyway this load order has not conflicted with sexoutNG in anyway that I have noticed yet.

But as you can see I run a very lean number of mods, I only turn on a mod if I wish to play it, and then turn it back off, when I am done, and return to and earlier save before the mod, rather than try to keep some un-godly number of mod's I am not even using running all the time, of course some mods you always want to keep running, but not all of them.

EDIT:::

And thx U all so much, FCO has been a very nice addition, and I don't know if it is doing anything, but that NVAC is not bothering me, and I am trying out YUP to see if I like it.

IjacGuard, I have willow, and some of those other companion mod's, but I don't use companion's a lot, I just dabble with them, in morrowind, and Oblivion I made many of the early companion mod's Taglady, tagladyOB, but I just sort of grew out of them, I like them, but even the best one's seem to eventually just get in the way.

   I install them as i feel the need, or just want one for awhile.

I will look at many of thos others Idea's though, Thx U very Much.

You are very welcome.

About the eyes, yes. FCO is not compatible out of the box with any mod that adds eye textures, like Mikoto (a compatibility patch is provided) or Lings. It seems that Drumber created his own custom eye mesh. You may add any custom hairs at leisure however. Drumber is really a talented modder, any of his mods are worthy of attention.

About NVAC, that is good then. It should run quietly in the background while you play, doing its job, and if you ever wonder what it is doing, you should be able to find a <nvac.log> file in your game folder that may prove useful to you if you ever experience crashes.

About companions and anything else, of course. Enjoy your game as you see fit, please, I just wanted to give you some noteworthy suggestions if you were looking for some.
