koocamunga Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 So after getting the amulet of Mara I tried getting me a wife and failed miserably. Talked to dozens of women who I thought liked me and the dialogue doesn't pop up. So I tried the console. I used the proper commands as given in the Skyrim wiki AND as instructed in this video and STILL the dialogue does not pop up for any npc regardless of gender/race. Anyone have ideas as to wtf is going on? Thank You.

If you just find an amulet of mara at random and wear it the dialogue won't come up until you do. If you can't find him he's likely in the tavern in the center of town shouting at people for being alocoholics.

Well i got the amulet from the priest after doing a few quests. I still haven't finished the one where you go door to door handing out pamphlets like a mormon. And with every attempt I did have the amulet on.
Windsilk Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 That's odd it should be working then, maybe it's just an issue with the console codes you're using? Have you tried using the vanilla list of marriageable people in the game to test?

I got it to work but it does not work on every npc as the wiki says it does. I guess I just didn't talk to him like i needed to, thank you =)
