Looking for a leveled list tutorial

I want to add a few custom armors to leveled lists some just appearing in chests others like forbidden ebony to a chance for a appropriately leveled npc to wear. I have found a incomplete tutorial and did use it to add one set to loot but never saw it drop so I must've messed something up as my only guess. I just looked around on this forum to see if ones available but didn't find one. I also wouldn't mind finding some of the armors id add to npc's/loot already enchanted if anyone knows a tutorial I could look at for all this it would be awesome. I am currently working inside cs to add a variant blades armor (modeled after the light blades armor on nexus) to crafting recipies ect but ill also be poking around nexus/beth forums and google trying to find tips to all this.
