Optimizer Textures

So, the how to use section is rather brief and does not explain any of the options or if you should use it on the original files or just mods.

Anyone used it on the skyrim BSAs? Min, Med or Max?

resize patterns 16x16, The game seems to use 256x256, isn't that a huge change?

Know why it does not select Skyrim - textures.bsa if you use "select all"?

Compress BSA why or why not?

It seems to want to convert a lot of DTX5 files to DTX1, should I let it?

The tool can be used on both the vanilla skyrim files and mod files. The settings by default is set to medium so you don't have to go in-depth to everything. For simple use, just choose which profile setting you want (Maximum, Minimum or medium) and press Start.

And no, DON'T use it on BSA files. If you need to, unpack the BSA first, then run the tool on the loose files you unpacked.

Optimizer Textures really helpful and will cut down a lot on stuttering and freezing from HD textures if you have any. Big performance gain for little to no quality loss.
