Just making proportional changes doesn't make it your own.  You should always get permission from the original author if you're planning on uploading a modified version of their work.

Let's be frank Leito86, the real author is the company that designed the video game. The first person who made the mob, I take the video original game, and then I adapt to CBBE and has not requested permission from the company. I did the same, take the file and armor adapt to CHSBHC V3T.

Bethesda openly endorses modding for their games so I don't know why you would need to contact them to reuse their assets for modding purposes.

 

Dude, if all your getting is just your file being taken down, just let it go.  All isn't lost, I'm sure you still have the file though I'd recommend getting permission from the original author prior to reuploading.

Accusing you of plagiarism is stupid, considering all the armors made by Skyrim modders based on other games' meshes. But theft... I believe the armor was originally ripped from Blade&Soul, so yeah it kind of falls into thievery. Just suck it up as Leito said, if they really wanted to they could annoy you way more than just taking out your file.

When I referred to the company who designed the armor, I meant it Nsoft. Because if the complaint comes from the first that made armor for CBBE, I think it's ridiculous that I asked permission to adapt the armor, since I obtained from Nsoft, and I'm quite sure that no request permission to adapt the armor.

Since I found the reason, there was a kind of confusion and someone thought that the file armor was an episode of the animated series.

Mediafire and MEGA apparently remove anything where an DMCA complaint is filed, they don't bother checking facts.

For example KS Hairdos was already gone from those 2 sites within a week, although the mod neither contains any assets from a retail game, nor are the converted Sims hair protected by any form of copyright.

 

However the ported mods by themselves are usually not a problem for the companies, if anything this is a free advertisement for their game - wearing a "Blade&Soul" outfit in Skyrim does not enable you to play the actual game. It's more like wearing a "Coca-Cola" T-Shirt without getting paid for it.

 

 

Some modders are just douchebags and abuse the DMCA system, not much you can do about it. Unless you want to get a lawyer and sue the filesharing hosts with uncertain result.
