kralgar1 Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 I think for all the time SKSE has been available (with patch) I have not been using it. Is it true you need to manually add the ini file to make use of it? Ill edit the link out if this is way outdated but here is what the ini should look like. http://wiki.step-project.com/Skyrim_Script_Extender Just hoping this helps someone who is as terrible as me at Modding skyrim
DurtyNelly Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Is it true you need to manually add the ini file to make use of it? Yup. You need the ini to make it work.
kralgar1 Posted January 3, 2015 Author Posted January 3, 2015 Its funny cuz when i hear 'built in memory patch' I always just assumed dropping everything in the data folder was all i needed. For some reason the area around Falkreath and Solstiem caused me to crash alot, I rode around falkreath for about 20 minutes crash free. Solstiem was reallllllllly reallllly bad for me, iv been avoiding Dragonborn content since i started adding 120+ mods. Too late now but im lookin forward but not getting hopes up about going back to Solstiem tomorow.
DurtyNelly Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 It was a bit confusing for me too, so don't feel bad. It's like when authors say a mod is 'Standalone' and then somewhere on the bottom of the description page you find one tiny line of text that says, "You need XP32 Extended or you'll crash". I hope it works for you. Do you have ENB or ENBoost? That may help a bit too.
nutluck Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Yeah a lot of people misunderstand that. Only reason i knew to do it was I was using another memory patch that did the same thing before SKSE added it.
