plans512 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 i have around 200 mods and i am jusy wounding how many mods you can use no skyrim
Spyder Arachnid Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 The "limit" of esps in basic Skyrim is 255. But, you can bypass that manually if you wanted with no problems (well, you'll get problems cause of the overload). 200 is another limit that some people say is when Skyrim starts to perform badly, but if you patch correctly and know what you're doing, you shouldn't have any issues. Or you can use something as simple as the Merge Script for Tes5Edit. Start learning how to merge mods to save on space. Mostly armor mods and weapon mods though. Some houses/buildings/environment is okay to merge, but some will break the navmesh if you merge them. So do so at your own risk. Rule of thumb, don't merge anything with scripts. Thus why mostly armor mods and weapons are okay to merge. But merging stuff will definitely help in the end with clearing up space. Best thing to do when you start reaching 200 mods, is to look at your mods and ask yourself "Do I REALLY need this?" and start doing some house cleaning. You know, like that one armor mod you downloaded and wore for a few seconds and then haven't worn it since? Or that one mod that made creatures sing the national anthem? Sure it was fun at first, but it is really a necessity? Start doing that, and you'll find you only use about a third of those mods. Then do some cleaning.
