Kararra Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Lurker here. I debated posting this, but then I realized I would've wasted a lot of time writing it up. Anyway, the English translation got me playing this game as well, so if anybody is still curious and doesn't hang around other H-game forums, here's a quick collection of what I've learned: The start is extremely grindy, you have frustratingly low stamina and force so you need to be constantly online if you want to get anywhere. It can feel very pay-to-win, but the demand eases off as you level up. * Stamina allows you to progress through the story quests and grind for fodder. This should be your priority for early levels. * Force allows you to kill megabosses (better cards) and do PvP arena (get gear for fusing or selling, even if you lose). * Charisma allows you to field a better team. You don't need massive amount of this, but don't ignore it either. You can get free stats by adding friends/comrades, which should cover most of the Charisma you will need until you start getting rare cards. Both Stamina and Force recover at the same rate, so while you should pump Stamina early, you should eventually even them out. Levelling cards is a massive grind, but necessary to reach max potential. 5% of stats transfer after evolving, but 10% if at max level. Max level C = 30, UC = 40, R = 45, SR = 50, SSR = 60 * Common cards are just fodder for better cards. They have no H-scene. * Uncommon cards aren't worth it, just evolve them to UC+ and then UC++ to unlock their event in the gallery. * Rare cards will be replaced by SR cards in the very long term, so whether it's worth fully levelling every stage is up to you. * Super Rares should be fully maxed unless you're dumping real money into the Card Lottery. * SSR should be fully maxed because it's unlikely you will ever be able to get them again. This isn't like some other games where SSR is a purely pay to win thing, they are genuinely rare. When levelling cards, always combine the same element and always combine 10 cards at a time. Combine cost per card is based on level, so you can combine less than 10 if you're sure it won't level up the card... but if the card will level up, always go for 10 card combine to save a bit of cash. The first quest is the most efficient place to farm cards, but while feeding level 1 cards is the most efficient method, it's also the most expensive. The next most efficient farming places are quests 12, 15 and 18, all of which will take a while to unlock. Events should start in January, and that will supposedly make levelling easier. If you're not going to max level your cards at every evolution (because it takes a fuckton of grinding) but want to level them a bit before evolving, it's far better to do so at the + stage than the base stage. For the base card to be relevant at all, all four cards need to be maxed which is more than double the effort for what is a relatively small gain compared with just levelling the card at the + and ++ evolutions. Megabosses are the main way to better cards, so don't expect to be able to fly solo the entire game. They will probably add Investigations later, but I don't think that is going to be any easier if you don't have the cards to begins with. * wasp = you can solo it to get rid of it, but you could just let it expire since no worthwhile megaboss will spawn anyway * slime = you should be able to solo this and it drops Paladin gear, which sucks but looks cool and it sells for a bit * centipede = frustrating that you have to waste your force on this * rock bird = drops elemental gear (it's decent early on and standard elemental strengths/weaknesses apply so you may want it for megabosses) * evil eye = drops UC card, and a C card for comrades who help * wyvern = drops UC, C for comrades * dragon = drops R, C/R for comrades * silver dragon = I have no idea... unless you've got a comrade list full of pay-to-winners who are constantly online, don't even bother * glimmer = drops R, UC/R for comrades I don't know about the others as I don't think anybody is that far into the English version yet. When helping, you need to do about 10% damage to get anything. Other little things * In Quest mode, you get loot for three battles in a row. If you are interrupted for any reason (running out of stamina, levelling up, or completing the stage), you need another three battles. * Item Lottery is where you get your first real gear. If you're a free peasant, you'll get continuous login tokens to spend every fifth day (open Item shop and go to the Trading Post), which you can use to buy golden tickets to use on the Lottery. So yeah, don't worry about feeling pathetically weak at the start, you'll be way stronger on day five. * Card Lottery is mostly pay to win, not really worth until you've gotten the gear you want from Item Lottery. * Don't pull cards out of your Gift Box until you're ready to use them or else your gift box is getting full. Unused cards are just taking up space you could be using for combine fodder. * Cecil is a trap best girl. I'm always annoyed when H-games won't let you tap the trap, but it's something to avoid if you don't swing that way. I have no idea whether there are any other traps in the game. Hmm, I'm not sure if there's anything else worth noting. The Japanese wiki: http://seesaawiki.jp/lordofwalkure/ My referral link if you want if you want to give a poor lurker free monies: http://www.nutaku.net/signup/invite/id/877463/ My IGN is Kararra. I have a few comrade slots left, so add me if you want. The game kind of encourages you to have comrades around your own level to keep Megabosses relevant, but it's not like 10 days is a massive lead in the grand scheme of things (although, again, the way the game works, it can certainly feel that way).
snafoofoo Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Thanks for the reply on tips Karrara. I already joined using sponschga's link. It seems to me from the couple days playing that gold lotto's are best spent on items at first. I noticed that the gold items are immensely more powerful than match drops or combined loot, especially weapons. My IGN is Dimoku if anyone has comrade slots open : ) Some other advice; Make sure you use all of your force before levelling. Stop just prior to levelling and either assist comrades or do matches. Even if you lose matches you will still get a reward. Save elemental pieces of each type for body and left hand. These can be used to help defeat the bosses. When looking for names to add to your comrade list it is better to take note as to the people assisting on mega bosses than random names of people in matches. If you are unlucky in the item lotto for a weapon the dark centipede drops the hero sword that will help you along until the lotto pays out. Try to save your force recovery jewels for later in the game for the better bosses. If you use an alt account then you can run 2 sessions, one in chrome and the other in IE, etc. Alts are best comrade as they are always on when your on ; ) As you level you will find that dragons tend to get more action than the girls. Use the slot and card sets to align to each elemental type. I setup 1 as main gear, 2 fire, etc.. and same for cards with 1 as main, 2 fire and so on. If you hit hard then you will find that comrade requests come to you. The UC cards that can evolve twice work well to make card sets for each element type. Item lotto is best lotto. Here is my refferal link if you need it. http://www.nutaku.net/signup/invite/id/1927/
