conglaciatus1 Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 So, I've had FNIS for ages and never had a problem with it, but suddenly yesterday (I have not installed anything I can imagine would effect FNIS) I tried to run GenerateFNISforUsers for an animation, and got: ERROR(5): Access to the path 'C:\Windows\system32\temporary_logs\' is denied. I've tried Googling it, but there's a distinct lack of solutions... Any help would be much appreciated!
fore Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 And what is the very first warning before the error? Something about wrong installation path?

BlackArk Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 I think I remember getting this after I relocated my skyrim installation to my data drive. If you moved your skyrim installation folder without uninstalling the game FNIS is still referring to the old folder which does not exist anymore. To fix this you first need to backup your current skyrim folder, simply renaming it to skyrimbakup or something should do. Uninstall skyrim and install the game into the correct directory, You may need to redownload from steam so it can take a while.after it is complete just rename the new installation Skyrim Clean and rename the Skyrimbakup to Skyrim and that is it.hopefully that fixes your FNIS error if it is in fact the case that you moved the skyrim directory.
