lambient1988 Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Hello, I was looking for a mod that would give me green grass everywhere. Currently I am using RealVision ENB with all the recommened mods given by him over here. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30936/ Anyone know how I replace the red / orange grass with the green grass everywhere?
Alpia Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 https://sites.google.com/site/aceeqmodding/co-summer-edition Take a look at this or do you still want to have ice and snow?
lambient1988 Posted December 5, 2014 Author Posted December 5, 2014 https://sites.google.com/site/aceeqmodding/co-summer-edition Take a look at this or do you still want to have ice and snow? No, this is fine but is it compatible with RealVision ENB?
Alpia Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 sure I use realvision too in the installer just don't install the summer water plugin or do it maybe you like it I like the realwater2 which you install with realvision better than it. But be sure about it, it replaces all Ice and snow regions so you won't have any of it if you like that install it.
lambient1988 Posted April 8, 2015 Author Posted April 8, 2015 I am currently using RealVision ENB, installed all the new mods from the RealVision list. I never got the time to check out your link and it seems the file is deleted now. Here's how my grass looks like right now with all basic RealVision files. http://www.Imgur.com/WtMZnFa http://www.Imgur.com/uniW4Mi Now how do I replace this kind of grass with thick green grass all across my terrain? Please help, forget the whether, this is the only thing I want.
Sweatington Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Did you try this http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28950/?
lambient1988 Posted April 8, 2015 Author Posted April 8, 2015 Did you try this http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28950/? I will give it a shot. I hope it is compatible with the current grass mod in RealVision ENB, Verdant. Meanwhile, are there any other mods that can achieve this?
Spyder Arachnid Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Skyrim Flora Overhaul with Summer Skyrim could give you kind of what you're looking for. It's what I used to use (Summer Skyrim, I still use SFO) and it made pretty much all of Skyrim full of green grass and flora. Top that off with some Grass on Steroids and you'll have green grass coming out of your ears. You'll still have snow though in the high parts of the mountains (obviously), but everywhere else will have green grass and such.

Just use the Summer Skyrim HD file. It is just an environment overhaul, not weather.
Anatriax Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Under [Grass] in your skyrim.ini folder (found in My Documents\My Games\Skyrim or just use the .ini editor in MO if you use MO) reduce your iMinGrassSize. The lower the value, the more grass you'll have. I've read a lot of warnings about going below 40. SkyrimTuner (Realvision's auther) has stated that he sets his to 40.

Here are my current settings: [Grass] iGrassCellRadius=2 bAllowCreateGrass=1 bAllowLoadGrass=0 bGrassPointLighting=1 b30GrassVS=0 iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=15 iMinGrassSize=40 They don't seem to be causing much difference.
Anatriax Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=7 is what's requried by SFO

Summer Skyrim didn't do much except add a few green plants at certain places but setting 'iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=7' did increase the density of my grass! Thank you but there still is a lot of red and orange coloured grass or flora (like in my previous screenshots) rather than green grass and tall grass which I am looking for. Check out of GIFs in this mod, http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60220/? That is what I want. Even though I am using that mod, I am unable to replicate what he has shown in those GIFs.
Anatriax Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Changing the color of the grass, I have no clue really. That's outside my expertise :/

Anatriax Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 The only thing I can suggest is trying to isolate the textures that are the "green" that you want, and duplicating those textures in place of the other colors. The problem with that, is that the other colors may use different meshes, which means the textures might look somewhat funky on them... meaning you'll have to go into CK, and make sure that the "green grass" is all pointing to the same mesh and texture. That could be several hours worth of working on getting your grass to look JUST right, and definitely worth uploading here or on the Nexus once it's complete. Time for a bottle of scotch, and some Grey's Anatomy while you get it done! Best of luck <3
Spyder Arachnid Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Have you tried Grass on Steroids yet? Seems like what you might be wanting for tall grass. It uses the already existing grass and increases it without a performance loss. I actually have my iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure set to 15. Tamriel Reloaded HD uses 15, and in all honestly, I think it looks a lot better. And then have my iMinGrassSize set to 75 using Grass on Steroids.

Actually I took that screenshot by standing up on a rock. If I am in the grass I am half submerged in it. Like only the area from my stomach is above the grass. I think that's enough. Anything more and I will get 5 FPS.

I'm on an older machine (I think I've posted my specs in a few other posts), but I've managed to get some tweaks just right... between Windows and Skryim. I'm not QUITE where I want to be as far as visuals, and I'm a little lower than I'd like on performance... but it is what it is. Until I can afford a new GPU, RAM, and CPU, I'm stuck with what I have.
