Error Markers with HDT shoes in Creation Kit. Creation Kit crashes with custom mesh.

Has anybody ever run into a issue with the Creation Kit while making a armor addon, where the mesh you select actually causes it to crash to desktop consistently? One of the outfits I've made and are currently trying to put in-game always causes the Creation Kit to freeze up and crash when I try to load it as a armor addon.

 

And I also keep getting error markers when I try to load up shoes that have the HDT skeleton on them. I'm pretty confused here and would like some help. I'll post the files and some images as soon as I can. (The screenshot below is from a another mesh entirely, but shows the same error I'm getting with my current meshes.)
