That's very mesmerizing...

 

I'm always very impressed with the precision and skill when it comes to sand art like this, and also how beautiful those spirals can really get. I mean, it's just a rotation of a circular object, yet it creates such an optical illusion!

It is, But that's not sand, they're using clay. 

 

My cousin use to create those pendulums with sand pits and I'd spend hours starting it one way or another to get different designs in the sand.
