The load screen shows up, with the text and random item/creature, but sometime during the load, I get a CTD. Might I get any help, since Bethesda still hasn't learned to just put a crashlog in their engine? In addition, when I load a really old save of mine from Ysgramor's Tomb, some dialogue from Peryite's quest pops up, and I can't escape it, no matter what options I pick or how many times I hit tab. I was however, able to start a new game with no problems, and got to Whiterun, did the initiation of the Bleak Falls Barrow quest before calling it a day. I'd really like to get my old saves working again, but from the way that random dialogue popped up, it looks like they decided to corrupt. Edit: Just tested, and I can load my new game's save just fine. Still...level 40, Companions, College, and Civil War quests complete, and it looks like all of that will be lost. ;_;
gilar9 Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 bump You just have a new follower. I am having a similar problem, the game CTD when my character loads into any other zone or I will have to stay in Whiterun forever.
Metal_Izanagi Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 I managed to fix it, somehow, someway. I cleared a lot of stuff from my load list, installed some other mods, and when I loaded the save in Ysgramor's Tomb, I was naked(because I had gotten rid of the armor mod I was using) but able to finish the quests. Didn't get a single CTD, though I did run into some missing terrain, and the ghosts in the tomb didn't have their ethereal effect.
