GrizzlyBear191 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 I decided to start up a fresh game of Skyrim a few weeks ago, and do a few things differently. Rather than starting working on the main story, I've been doing the Dark Brotherhood quest line and some of the side quests. I have not spoken to the Jarl of Whiterun yet. My character is level 29 now, and has to contend with bears attacking in pairs virtually as soon as she steps outside any city. I don't have any mods installed that increase bear attacks, so what is going on, is this a normal thing if the main quest line has not started yet? Not that I mind, I'm getting a lot of hides to work up my character's smithing skill, but it seems like there are a couple of bears hiding behind every tree ready to rip the dragonborn to shreds.
