Help With Custom Follower

Hey,

I need some help with creating a custom follower. I'm using Psycho's ElinRace and designed the follower using EnhancedCharacterEdit.

First off, please look at the attachment 2014-10-30_00002.jpg

I have circled the neck and the hands. The head is a significantly different color to the neck and hands; this produces a very obvious neckseam; the skin color I defined using ECE was a slight green. This is accurately reflected by psl2.jpg.

If you look at the attachment psl2.jpg, you'll see what I have designed the character to look like using the showracemenu command. Note the warpaint, scar, brow, 'blush' (actually a greenish color) and skin color; these are not reflected on the follower ingame.

Lastly, please look at ss+(2014-10-31+at+09.09.18).png. This is what I can see in the Creation Kit. Note the difference in hair, warpaint etc. I can't be too sure about the facial structure itself, but it looks quite a bit different from the character I designed.

I have

  • Created my character ingame using the 'showracemenu' command with EnhancedCharacterEdit
  • Exported the face with the 'spf' and 'savepcface' command
  • Imported the .npc file into the creation kit with the 'Import' button on the 'Character Gen Parts' tab
  • Accepted the changes by clicking 'Ok' and then exporting the mesh and texture by selecting the follower and pressing Ctrl + F4
  • Saved the .esp and enabled it

Now, this is a conventional method for creating a follower. On the ECE Nexus page, the mod author specifies

Q. I want to apply face data made by ECE sliders to NPC.
You can import face morph to NPC.
? Body sliders, hair and colors cannot be applied.

  1. First, make face you want to transport in showracemenu. The last face you make is saved in NoseType32.
  2. Load Skyrim.esm in CK, and save/create esp. Example Lydia.esp.
  3. Check and make the esp “active file”, load with “CharacterMaikingExtender.esp”. In addition, load hair esp/esm if you use.
  4. Select the actor you want to change, click the Reset All button and then select NoseType32 in the Character Gen tab.
  5. Edit the hair and makeup in Chargen Parts tab. Click the OK after editing.
  6. Output the actor selected to mesh with Ctrl + F4. Save it, temporarily.
  7. If you don't need CharacterMakingExtender.esp as master file, push the Ctrl + Delete deregistrate master in File->Data window->Parent Masters, and then load and save.
  8. That’s all.

I have loaded the .esp I am using, and have set it to be the active file. I have loaded the .esp for the hair I am using. I loaded CharacterMakingExtender.esp as well. Upon clicking 'Reset All' and then selecting NoseType32, nothing happens in the example rendering window. I'm about to test going ahead even without any visible change, but I'm not sure if it will work.

I was wondering if I could get some help with this. I don't mind changing the hair so much, I just really want to get the skin color to be consistent.

Thank you in advance.

Edit: Using the ECE method selecting NoseType32, I managed to fix the skin color of the head, mostly (see 2014-10-31-00001.jpg), so the neckseam is less noticeable. However, it still didn't copy over the 'blush', the scar, the warpaint, or the lip color. How do I fix this?
