Well last night I tried to edit some lines in the loversvoice mod, to better suit my personal character.

I went into CS cold turkey, I don't know how the hell to use this thing.

Well long story short, I thought I had edited the lines. and saved it

but when I fired up oblivion it crashed. My editing failed:(

Can someone please explain how i can properly edit the dialogue without oblivion crashing to hell? thanks!:)

99% of dialog added by mods is done by quests. Just go to the quest menu, find the right quests, go to topics and change the dialog (ONLY the dialog).

If you add responses (I don't advise you to do this with any LPK mods, as they tend to crash), make sure to add the conditions and place the addtopic line to the script results.

Try looking at this if you need further help:

http://www.morrowind-oblivion.com/oblivion/oblivion_quest_tutorial.php

It explains how to create your own dialog (in a quest).

Thanks for the response!

Hmm i thought that's what i did...

Maybe there's something I'm doing wrong (game still crashes)

When i open the mod in the CS I'm supposed to check oblivion.esm and loversvoicessplus.esp (and set it as the active file). Am i doing that part right?

Just set the mod you are about to change as active, it will load all it's dependencies automatically.

Edit: I forgot to warn you: any .esp that the mod is dependent on, but does not alter, will be removed from it's masterlist once you save it in the CS.

You must re-set them as masters via Wrye Bash or another such program.

In Wrye, right-click the mod you changed and hit "Add masters".
