Quest won't progress

So I'm doing the quest "Render Unto Caesar" in Fallout New Vegas and he wants me to kill the brotherhood. So I go and I agree to get rid of the NCR Ranger so I could gain at least enough trust to wander around the base. Anyway, so seeing as I'm vilified by the NCR I have to kill him, so I kill him. And the quest doesn't progress.

 

The quest still wants me to get rid of the ranger even though I already have. I've tried killing him in multiple ways, rigging his radio, shooting him etc. And no matter what, the game won't progress.

 

I've tried making a new save and loading it, but that didn't do shit. 

I tried enabling and disabling him in case it had something to do with him

I've tried going back to the BoS bunker to see if it's just a problem with the quest and the Brotherhood just opens fire on me even though in the com it says "Step away from the door. The Elder is eager to hear your report."

 

So naturally, this is pissing me off because I can't progress this way. 

I even tried to reset the quest but that just leaves me with an unremovable explosive collar and an empty BoS bunker.

 

So, help?

try in the console :

setstage 15d79d 15

if your objective says "Return to Elder McNamara with news that the ranger has been dealt with." then it's the good one.

setstage 15d79d 30

objective should update to "Return to Elder McNamara with news that the ranger has been dealt with."

 

That doesn't finish the objective I have, but only adds 3 more objectives which is further into the game where it wants me to talk to brotherhood scouts :|

Aye sorry made a mistake with the quest stages : should be setstage 15d79d 15

That gives me the objective to talk to the Elder and when I do he wants me to do another quest, but my other objective is still not complete and the explosive collar will never be removed this way. 

 

I appreciate you trying to help though, I can take all the help I can get.

Is there any command that can finish my objective somehow?

I tried doing 

"setstage 15d79d 3"

Which gives me the objective

Return to Elder McNamara with news that the ranger has been dealt with.

 

Yet when I go inside, I get shot at again.

 

Edit: I decided to kill the Elder when he shot at me and that ended the quest, which doesn't really matter because I have to kill the BoS anyway, but I still have the explosive collar stuck to me. So I'm close to a "solution".

Hmm don't know if this won't cause problems but if you're really stuck :

player.removeitem E3791 1

If you can't open the door :

player.coc hiddenvalley01

and kill everyone

player.coc hiddenvalley (if you're stuck inside)

Thanks a lot man, after removing my collar, I went in, killed Paladin Ramos, hacked into the terminal he was using, re-programmed the target functions and set it to kill all brotherhood. Then I walked around with my minigun and unloaded on the survivors. 

I appreciate it man.
