Racemenu causing ECE head to inflate and default

I used to be able to make these two mods play nice together but since my move and reinstall I simply can't get them to work nice at all.

My CME saves are pretty precious to me (I carried them across country in a thumb drive) I spent a lot of time on my heads. But now that I've started playing more actively again I can't install race menu without my ECE heads inflating and reverting to default features and creating a bad neck seam where the neck no longer sits flush with the torso mesh.

If I switch the nose setting in Racemenu, my head does revert to the ECE dimensions I've set, but after exiting Racemenu, the head again reverts to the inflated default head.

Its kind of driving me nuts, Racemenu has a lot of little vanity features I like, and I'd like to get it working again.

The only thing I can think is different from when I was last using them together and now is that I've added my HDT.xml to the female head mesh but that shouldn't be causing any issues that I can think of, otherwise everyone here on the Lab would be setting their computers on fire.

Anyone seen this issue before and know a work around? I'm kind of at my wits end here and have run out of ideas. Load order doesn't seem to matter, loading Racemenu before or after ECE doesn't help, and Racemenu isn't replacing any tri morphs when I install it, so I don't get why its causing my heads to explode.

They used to play fairly nice, even though they weren't explicitly compatible. As of RM 2.8.5-ish, they are completely incompatible. The only way I found to resolve the EXACT same problem was to uninstall ECE (I prefer RM).

Unfortunately, you have to choose, or use an old version of RM.

Well I don't need tattoos that bad I suppose. Layering textures is nice and all but I'm in no mood to try to rework my head meshes using Racemenu, I'll see if I can get an older version to work, I only really need it for the texture overlays anyways.
