CrimsonOmegaLance Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Hey guys, Just wondering what would happen if I put the resapawn tag on unique NPC's. I'm looking to modify the NPC Protected Redux mod, and to make it compatible with the NPC Inhabitants of Skyrim overhaul mod. So I made a patch for it (namely just added protected tags to npcs in the npc IoS mod and unchecked Redux). I saw the "Respawn" tag that could be set on NPCs in TES5Edit. Would this just re-spawn the NPC after a set time period after he/she dies? Would there be any consequences that could happen if I put Respawn on a NPC who dies? IE he would die in the cutscene/normal skyrim then would respawn. Would that play havok w/ any scripts or things like that? Anyone play around with the respawn tag?

It shouldn't mess with scripts or cause issues, but you might not want to set NPCs that are supposed to die in cutscenes to respawn for the sake of immersion\consistency. CrimsonOmegaLance Posted September 26, 2014 Author Posted September 26, 2014 Yea I really don' care about immersion that badly, when I'm playing with SoT, OBIS, and other enemy spawners, I'd rather have people die (and respawn due to *hospitals*) than continue like superhuman gods.
