medic975
So I've been doing some armor conversions and I'm having a lot of trouble with the skirts. As shown in the pics below. Anyone know a good method of solving this. They armors look great in nifskope and 3ds max but go to hell when entering the game.   Link to comment

xarathos
Skirts have very rapidly become the bane of my existence... The best advice I can give in general terms is to look closely at how the originals were weighted, or at vanilla meshes with skirt bones, and try to keep the weighting for all the relivant bones - skirt, thigh, calves etc - as close to the original as possible. Â Don't fix what isn't broken, right? Â My own successes have been pretty mixed. I've tried using gerra's mesh rigger to copy the bone weights from vanilla skirt meshes (or from one of the few modded ones that work well) - and i mean all the lower body bones, essentially. Sometimes that works out reasonably well but it's not a perfect solution. Not yet anyway. Link to comment
medic975
Thanks, I've tried the same and it doesn't seem to hit where I want it too. What annoys me most is that I didn't really mess with the skirts much if at all during the conversion, so I'm not sure why the weights went all wonky. Â Link to comment
