lordshimra Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 is there a way to use overlays in ECE like in the racemenu addon? and where is a good place to get overlays? thanks
EdinMG Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Nope, as far as I know, overlays are exclusive to RaceMenu !!!
Spyder Arachnid Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 The only way to use Overlays with ECE, is to use them via Photoshop/Gimp. Download the overlays you want, then place them on your own texture via a photo editing program, and voila, you have the overlays. Downside? Everyone will have them. So if you give yourself some awesome tattoo design, tan lines, and freckles, everyone will have those same designs on their skin as well. Unless you use a custom race, then they will only show up on your custom race. But if you don't care about that, then that's the way to go for it. Otherwise, overlays are like EdinMG said. A RaceMenu exclusive.
crudo Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 There is another way. You won't get all the overlays but if you are looking for tattoos, pubic hair, stockings you can use SlaveTats. Before you add SlaveTats you need another mod named NetImmerse override... something like that, sorry I don't have it memorized. You will be able to apply overlays on a case by case basis, including npc's. The only catch, the overlays will have to be created in a "tat-pack". There's quite a few to choose from already but not nearly everything using RaceMenu.

Don't have to deal with compatibility issues.
bahamut2119 Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 There is a way its a bit of a pita but you'll need netimmerse override loose files. Next create your character using ece and save the preset then quit skyrim install RM and all the overlays you want load the character back up and go to town with the tats. Your character will look messed up just ignore that for now once you got all you want save/quit drop rm but make sure netimmerse override loose files stay put and probably the textures from the overlays. Load back up making sure ece is enabled go back into showracemenu and select your preset restoring your face/body shape. Because netimmerse override will preserve the overlays you placed your now set just repeat the process any time you want to redo em. The color may be off I wouldn't worry they will display right on a reload ect you can also likely disable the overlays esps as long as the textures stay put.
