Yeah, I was thinking about it. Shame because I just started a new game and I'm not even 10 hours in ( I think ). Not a fan of abandoning characters. This is the second one in a week lol. I mean I played with the other way longer but still. Idk if I can get back to them later on with the mods I use because I keep running into a lot of trouble. Should be easier now with less mods temporarily. I hope.

 

Yeah, new game it is for now... Had to disable a lot of mods trying to pin down this no dialog issue and now my game is full of missing meshes lmao. So my old saves will have to wait until I get the mods sorted out.

 

Ah great new game doesn't fix that. I'm guessing I should uninstall the mods I'm not currently using instead of disabling them? I'm using vortex. Also kinda unrelated but I'm launching the game so many times lately it's getting annoying to run the FNV patch every damn time. If I don't I get the out of memory error and it crashes. I'm guessing there's no way to make it run automatically when I launch the game? Might look into another solution if there's any.

 

Btw any big changes in the mod in the near future? If so I'll probably take a break and start a new game later.

1. How do I bring back the red/blue glow?

2. Was the handset removed? Is no longer an option to assign a frequency to NPC's when you open the manager.

3. Have you changed the NPC behavior somehow? They seem to be drawn to PC, even if they are not compatible, despite the fact I created compatible partners for them in the same room.

1. For now you'll need to open the esm in the geck.  Find the script fnSOIRunReport, and uncomment the line 'Call fnSOIRunVFX rTarget'.

 

I understand how you can get used to it, but it really is unecessary.  The only useful information it conveys is compatibility.  That in exchange for the resources it uses, makes it a bad trade.  I'll probably replace it with messaging in the future.

 

2. What version are you coming from?  Handset channels have been automated for quite a long time.

 

3. I think there's a misunderstanding here.  The player character is the conduit for all interactions and tracking.  So for example you can set this:

Meaning these two NPCs are married.  However this tracking is only there to facilitate interactions with the PC.  EX: 'I don't like the PC hitting on my wife.', 'Hey that PC sure looks fine, I wonder if I can get away with an affair.'.  That sort of thing.

 

It was never meant to create a full blown relationship independent of the PC.

I think you should start from scratch and follow a guide.  Get your game nice and stable, then go about adding Sexout mods.  That way you always know the game was stable before you did xyz.  It will save you SO much time in the long run (even though it's a pain in the ass short term).

Yeah, I saw you talk about step earlier in this thread. Figured it's my next step. Well after I uninstall rest of the mods and do reinstall the game (again). My mistake was to add over a hundred mods in a few days so I have no idea what's causing problems. Found too many interesting mods and it got out of hand. Well I learned not to do that again. :D I also need to look into the mods I wanna try and see if they're still supported and/or full of bugs.

1. It gave the feeling that that particular NPC looks at your PC and likes what he sees. I was convinced for a long time it's actually the moment when the scanner hits the NPC and all the variables are recalculated. / adjusted / whatever.

 

2. Lol, like 3 years old I think. Maybe more.

 

3. It's something you (or someone else tbh I can't remember) said in a post - a very long time ago - and stuck. Something along the lines you had to compete with Trudy (I think) for Smiley's attention for some reason. It never happened to me, and now I wanted to create a similar scenario where my PC actually have to work for NPC's "affection". 

 

 

And while we are at it... I specifically remember me editing the [dance] for dialog and conditions when a patron asks for it and made it very frequent and... lucrative - but I can't remember which one. The logic behind it PC is dancing on stage, sometimes strips. It makes sense to get a lot of requests for private dances. I know I can text search for it, then check one by one, but I was wondering if you can include this in the next update.

 

I really hope I wont get hooked in your mod again and re-start messing with it.

1. It's the opposite really.  It occurred at the completion of a cycle.

 

2. Yeah well, WB. lol  A lot has changed/improved.

 

3. Yes this is still the case.  For example: Let's say Trudy is a lesbian making her compatible with your female PC.  The PC chats it up with Sunny.  Trudy finds Sunny more attractive than the PC.  Trudy gets distracted thnking about Sunny (Trudy's new suitor as she sees it).  As a result she pays less attention to the PC.

 

Further let's say Trudy is the PCs partner.  You see a message 'Trudy is staring at Sunny's ass!'.  You can then confront Trudy about her promiscuous behavior.

 

I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about with the dance dialog?  I think you mean the dialog chance for a patron to ask for a table/lap dance?  Or do you mean solo during sex (player dances, patron wanks)?  You shouldn't have to change anything but feel free.
 

I get table/lap dance constantly at the wrangler.

I deleted old modified files.

But I remember instead of simply [Dance] I changed the dialog in topic with 2 variables a) I want you to dance for me b) Remove your clothes while dancing (with stripper >0). And response options were a) Not for you -> rejected+ b) Sure but keep your hands to yourself -> lust+ and c) Sure, anything for you ->easy+. I also remember doing something about what was triggering it, but I can't really remember specifics. Pretty much tried to increase the chance of that specific thing occurred under solicitation tree I think.

 

(Yeah, like I said in another post I did tried to make a dialog for your mod, but English is my 3rd language and generally speaking writing is... difficult. Porn writing even more. Who would've thought...)

 

Speaking of improvements... the old bug hit me again - can't pause SOI. Tried waiting with running off then on (in game and IRL - literally took a shower and had dinner lol), sleeping, leaving the cell and sleeping some more, fast traveling, going into combat, going in other "land" (DLC), and finally force restarting under debug menu. Nothing helped so far. Last solution would be to save, exit, disable mod, save again then re-enable it. But it's a last resort solution. Maybe you have a hint for me?

I'm not sure what bug you're refering to?  You mean when you use the pause button nothing happens?  Are you using the same save from 3 years ago?  If so, you'll probably want to start a fresh game.

 

EDIT: No I meant you shouldn't have to change anything to get requests to strip (lap/table dance).  As far as writing in your own lines, that's literally what the dialog esp is there to provide an example of.

Another bug. Invited Liza O'Malley (embassy secretary) at player home. She [Advance], PC [Follow], get in bedroom, PC [Mark Private], [Foreplay], Liza [Score], sex scene start, notification top left "Liza have something to say" -> suddenly PC is solo but keep having sex with an invisible partner. Sex scene ends, Liza is nowhere to be found. Not in player home, not in embassy. prid / disable / enable / moveto player -> still nothing. No more Liza in my game. I'll see if she appears after 36 hours.

The pause/save button should show up if you go to a cell alone.  It probably won't show if you have current visitors though.

 

Liza sounds like a one off.  Maybe go back to an earlier save.  If I can reproduce it I'll look into it.

It simply means they have an attraction bonus towards young/old/fat characters.  Young and old fetishes aren't mutually exclusive like Dom and Sub are.  And yes, characters can be perceived as fat.  Though the fat fetish is pretty much stapled to pregnancy atm.  During the recovery phase after birth P1-P3 is considered fat instead of pregnant.

 

The proclivities file is blank, yes.  Mainly because proclivities will be overwritten/regenerated constantly.  So if you set them manually there's no guarantee they won't be wiped/changed every time "SOI:Prc:Reset" is cleared (on sex or absence).  I'll add them at some point.

T. T, my awesome modder. I just got baby jacked. An NPC who my PC was pregnant by, just walked up, [our baby] at me and swiped my kid. I guess he got REALLY tired of my declining his offer to baby sit, or something. I'm just in hysterics over here, because of how unexpected that was. Plus, that is NOT his kid, because I lost that pregnancy like 3 days after I told him about it, and had a kid later on, with someone else. Which kinda makes me feel bad for him, because by gawd, he believes that is HIS kid. He believes it enough to take the baby literally from my back. I just....HOW do you even script that to happen?

lol They'll give it right back if you chose [Baby].  I need to flesh out more of the tracking for this.  Just undecided on how to go about it still.  Clearing "SOI:Opn:Bred" will reset him.

 

When the pregnancy is lost I can either auto clear it, or make it a conversation.  The matching is difficult because of the baby being a non-unique inventory item.  So there's no easy way to tell which baby item belongs to whom.

See, the easy thing to do would be to ask for it back. Buuuuut I really enjoy trying to figure out, just how much I can get away with. So naturally, I decided to see if I could pick pocket the kid back. And I can! Which is all fine and dandy, until the fella catches me in the act and I catch a bunch of bullets to the ass for the trouble- with the gun I gave him as a gift.

 

Whatever, he wants the kid so bad, he can keep it. So I bailed for about a week, came back and the first thing he does is give the kid back to me. No, I think shooting me sorted out custody and he should definitely keep it, even if it isn't his. I requested him to baby sit and then went out to buy some cigarettes. He keeps calling me saying he's lonely, and I kinda feel bad, but he shot me, sooooo....

 

Probably would be better to make it a dialogue thing, if only for the roleplay and immersion aspect.

If you pickpocket it will break things.  He has a record set on him that he is babysitting.  Also the baby can't grow up entirely while he has it.  The player needs to have the baby when growth reaches zero, or it will never become a child NPC.
