Highwayman300 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Recently i have been suffering from massive FPS drops even with all performance mods installed. So far i have tried HialgoBoost, ENB boost, SKSE plugins. Lower/Compressed Textures, OP textures. Memory block and the like. Minimalist INI settings. Lower resolution, gamepad "fix". Dll. Fix, and in a ditch effort, Ultra low graphics mod for Lower End PCs. However, all these combined have given me an average of 30 FPS (Very unstable as well) on exteriors. Inside dungeons and the like (No matter how massive the dungeon is) i get an average of 43-44 (Capped at 45 for stability ) with very little stuttering. After installing convenient horses, i ran the included stability test, showing a script latency of 63 average. I am wiling to buy better compatible parts as long as the price isn't exorbitantly high, or even a better "gaming" laptop. Not looking for anything "High end" (Alienware) but at least something decent that can run this load order at steady 40 with decent graphics. Budget is 500-600 US dollars. Thanks in advance.

Worst possible specs? I was using a laptop with 3GB of RAM, 256MB graphics card and 2.2Ghz CPU on 32 bit Vista lol.
Highwayman300 Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 Still the game is pretty much unplayable on my laptop. The lag and stuttering are massive regardless.
alphaman94 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Do you trying to start with a new Skyrim installation without any mod? If the game lag after a new installation without mod, it's your laptop but if the game run without lag, it's only a too heavy charge for your laptop and you only need to reduce the number of installed mod with script. Don't forget before deleting your game, to save all the folder. Also, don't forget to delete the INI files in the folder C:\Users\yourname\Documents\My Games\Skyrim (sorry for my bad english)

I have to use all Performance increasing mods and tweaked ini settings to make the game run at 60 fps (40 on exteriors) on medium settings. What is interesting is that my game doesn't appears to have much script lag (Except in battles), and script latency seems decent as well. On a side note, from my load order, which are the most "taxing" mods that could be affecting my frame rate?
