Animations suddenly glitching out?

This is pretty odd. I haven't had any issues for a while and now suddenly my sexlab animations are causing issues.  Basically when an animation starts (usually I start them via sexlab romance) it shows the animation starting (and shows it in the command window as start playing) but the actors will undress, then just redress as if the animation finished. Skipping the entire thing, in some cases not even undressing and just skipping entirely.  In worse cases a CTD will occur when the animation would start. It happens almost always yet in some cases it won't happen, it's a bit random and unstable. It's never really acted this way. Used FNIS for users once again just in case, but didn't seem to help.

 

The strange thing is I've not installed any mods lately so there shouldn't be no new conflicting mods that could cause this. Idk why it's happening. I'm still using version 15.8b since it's (up till now) been working fine and didn't want to try the new version yet and risk instability

Ive noticed the same thing since adding "arousal" mods. I havent taken the time to track down exactly where the disconnect is, but:

Matchmaker defeat and arousal dont work; the mod recognizes, and runs the starter, but then stops with no animations.

 

The log says they are running, but they dont.
