SummGai Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 NOOOOO WHAT HAPPENED?!?1 My character D; why you grow ugly DX, i think it was the effin update, any way to fix this and revert back to the before picture? I don't want chiselled features x.x Help please @.@, I'm beginning to lose interest in skyrim @0@ Before After
Kraxon Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Uhm... I maybe a bit daft here, but I fail to see the big difference. Well, the one has horns, the other none, but besides that?!
SummGai Posted February 8, 2012 Author Posted February 8, 2012 Uhm... I maybe a bit daft here' date=' but I fail to see the big difference. Well, the one has horns, the other none, but besides that?! [/quote'] the face good sir the face DX, its like a female Arnold Schwarzenegger
Kraxon Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 That's impolite. On the first picture she looks like a model, on the second like a milf-cougar, but still a hot one. ^^ Hm. Did the upgrade overwrite any face textures? If so try to install the textures you had installed prior to the hd-upgrade again. Maybe that helps.
Spyder Arachnid Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 You just have to reinstall your mods is all. The HD Texture pack just overwrote your mods. Just reinstall your mods after you do the HD update and it will be back to normal again.
Iatrolia Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 i dont see how u can reinstall, since the high rez packs are eps files. since the body mods are not esp but only vanilla replacer, i think the update will overwrite them.
SummGai Posted February 8, 2012 Author Posted February 8, 2012 tried re installing the maine one that i used, Bella, and it didnt work, any way i can return my high res pack? it was already high res to begin with, cause of Skyrim HD -3- @ Kraxon: i like my model look :< no offence to cougars but not my cup of tea :\ also the new update messed with my lighting mod too, the before pic had a more darker lighting which gave it more detail
Kraxon Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 As I understand it, you can simply uncheck it in the Mod menue of the laucher.
SummGai Posted February 8, 2012 Author Posted February 8, 2012 As I understand it' date=' you can simply uncheck it in the Mod menue of the laucher. [/quote'] like the launcher i get from steam or NMM from nexus? :3
yamacraw Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 it looks like your face mesh got changed by the update, i would re-install whatever mesh you used before. And check that page to see if anybody else using that face mesh is having this issue. This is also why i dont do any updates to my game. To many mods at this point, i dont like to risk the stability of the game.
Kraxon Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Click where the red arrow on the picture goes, and then uncheck the HD-packs.
Cicattrix Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 TheOutlanderHow to use the new Official Hi-Res texture pack with user created mods: 1. Disable or delete the esps that came with the official texture pack. 2. Backup then open SteamAppsCommonSkyrimSkyrim_default.ini & DocumentsMy GamesSkyrimSkyrim.ini 3. Change this in both files: [Archive] sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa To this: [Archive] sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa, HighResTexturePack01.bsa, HighResTexturePack02.bsa 4. Save both files. Now user created mods will be able to override what they need to override in the official texture pack. As long as the new bsas are later in the list in the ini, then they'll override the vanilla ones that come with the game. Sadly the HD pack doesn't replace all the textures in the game, so if you renamed and removed the original Textures.bsa you'd end up with a large percentage of your game without textures. My method = User created mods > Official HD Tex Pack > Vanilla Texs No need to cherry pick because the user created mods will override the HD Tex pack just as if it were the original Textures.bsa If the [Archive] isn't there in the first place you shouldn't need to add it. As long as the Skyrim_default.ini one is done it should work fine. If it doesn't, copy paste the whole [Archive] section into the Skyrim.ini
SummGai Posted February 8, 2012 Author Posted February 8, 2012 Cicattrix im not sure what to do with your instructions ie. i derp at step 3 but its ok now!, thank you Kraxon ^^ your suggestion worked!
Cicattrix Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 if you want to use the Hi-Res pack, edit those ini files the way The Outlander suggested and all your mods will load first. btw, i have added a few more things at the end of the quote...
SummGai Posted February 8, 2012 Author Posted February 8, 2012 ooooh so then user mods take precedent over the HD pack, buuuut the HD pack will still function adding HD to things that I haven't HD'd before? so in my case i haven't HD'd animals and by doing Outlander's technique i would be able to run my user mods first and still have HD animals?
Cicattrix Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Now user created mods will be able to override what they need to override in the official texture pack. As long as the new bsas are later in the list in the ini, then they'll override the vanilla ones that come with the game. with his method the new Tex pack will override only the old Tex.bsa. the bad thing is the esp that come with the HR pack. w/o it you cant use HR. with it, the HR pack loads over the mods. so, the best way to have both is to loose the esp and force the game to load things on the old way, by the ini files.... Sadly the HD pack doesn't replace all the textures in the game, so if you renamed and removed the original Textures.bsa you'd end up with a large percentage of your game without textures. some suggested to rename and override the old Tex... but is wrong.... My method = User created mods > Official HD Tex Pack > Vanilla Texs with this method the mods will be loaded first and will take precedence over the basic game files, be it old or new Tex. where there is no mod, the new HR tex will go. where is no mod or HR tex, the vanilla will go...
vestige13 Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Click where the red arrow on the picture goes' date=' and then uncheck the HD-packs. [/quote'] Thanks a bunch! I installed the new texture pack because it was...., well it was free. When i started playing, my character looked like she was on steroids -___-, and after that i tried re-installing the mods, but it seemed not to work. I was too used to the NMM for my data files, so i never thought to check there.
