foukes Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 My best guess would be to take a look at vanilla adoptable kids in CK and see what keywords and/or scripts from Hearthfire are attached to them. The state of being adoptable plus having the adopt dialogue options most likely depend on keywords and maybe also a special voice type. The adoption itself (kid being like "yay" and running off to your home) is handled by scripts, I think, so check on the vanilla kids which ones it is and then attach these to your custom kids as well. I suppose the child behaviour at home is also handled by scripts, so again, my best guess would be to see which ones are attached to vanilla HF children and then also attaching these scripts to your custom kids. I never did anything with the adoption system, but that's pretty much how I would attempt do it... I hope I didn't just tell you stuff you already tried :/ Good luck in any case!
Guest carywinton Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 I think any NPCs have to be in the proper faction, I cannot recall exactly the name of the faction, something HFAdoptable I would presume, once this is done you should get the proper dialog options. Let me know if I can help further. I like the two NPCs in your image, very nicely done. I am in contact with some of the top child mod makers that no longer grace "LL" with their presence, so if we get stuck here, I will get you some help from them.
RunicGray Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Have you tried adding the BYOHRelationshipAdoptableFaction and BYOHDisallowGamesFaction? All adoptable children have the former faction - the kids you can adopt off the street (not in the orphanage) have the latter. Not sure how vital it is. When I had issues with Lucia after the Unadopt Mod, I had to manually re-add the BYOHRelationshipAdoptableFaction bad to her in order for the adoption dialogue to appear. You could also check what happens with kids like Braith - if their parents die, they become adoptable as well.
