[Help] making HDT ponytail hair keep it slim but longer.

you guys all know the hdt ponytail hair,

what I am trying to do is to make pony tail hair lonnnnnnger but keep it slim.

I tried to increase the float amount which makes the pony "tail" part big and fat, but it does make it longer at the same time.

so I didnt like that method.

I tried to decrease the amount of x-axis value. 

but it did not show changes ingame, but it did in nif window.

is there a way to achieve what I am trying to do?
