Hentai-chan Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I've got a few mod ideas and I'd like to ask you guys to see if they're possible. Item descriptions Is it possible to add item descriptions that fully detail the capabilities of a weapon/armor/piece of item? Possibly grant a bit of a background into the item. What it is, what it was designed to do. That kind of thing. I am asking because I am planning to make mod that gives special capablities to armor and weapons so they'll be more respective to the build that the player is going for. Like give dispel chance to ebony weapons or resist magic to ebony armor ınstead of higher damage or armor ratings. You know, classic RPG features. Animation by weapon type This is mainly for Immersive Weapons. Does anyone else find it annoying that all two- handed weapon have the same swing animation? I do. I think if weapons had their own animations based on their type, it would go a long way in the way of immersion. For example, a spear is a two-handed thrust weapon. Instead of doing a horizantal slash, you do a diagonal slash for normal attacks and slow but powerful thrusts for frontal power attacks. Combos Combos are a given for any action game. Why shouldn't Skyrim have any? No, I am not asking for ninja-like DMC combos. Just attacks that look like they can be chained, normal or power, that don't look boring. And simple commands, too. When you attack, an animation should be randomly selected. And as you mash/rape your mouse other animations kick in "an orderly fashion". Cinematic Skyrim Is it possible to make critical hits more fancy? I don't mean killcam fancy, a cinematic animation fancy. For instance, when perform a critical hit, you slash your opponent with blinding speed. If he survives, he simply kneels in agony for a few seconds, then gets back up again. If he doesn't, he is sliced in half. Not just combat, either. The first time you discover Bleakfalls Barrow, CINEMATIC! The first time you enter Gauldur's Crypt, CINEMATIC! The first time you enter Skuldafn, CINEMATIC! Every time a dragon priest pop out of its grave, CINEMATIC! Every time you open a box and loot, CINEMATIC! Okay, not the last one. QTE in Skyrim Is it, at all, possible to use quick-time events (QTE) in Skyrim? It would add to the cinematic feel, needless to say it would look awesome against bosses. More Magic Killcams Does anyone feel like killcams with magic is hugely lacking in Skyrim? I noticed it when I was playing with SkyRe and using those touch spells (sounds sexual but it really isn't). I expected something like when you sneak up on some with say "Chilling Touch", you grab 'em by that neck and freeze their brain or when you use Storm Call on a weakened enemy, lightning strikes him several times, he screams loudly in agony until he explodes in a gush of blood and all that's left of him is lightning-truck bones with smoke coming out of them. Is it me or is it getting hot in here? A Classic RPG feature Is it possible to give weapon and armor their own effects such as increase movement speed or reduce spell costs? You're gonna tell me that "SkyRe already does this!" No, it does not. SkyRe adds these effects when an entire set of armor is worn and that is if you got the smithing skill to even take associated perks. What I am taking about is a perk-free feature that armor and weapons give you. For example, wearing dragonplate negates armor penetration and elemental resist by piece instead of a set. Or wearing dragonscale increases your speed and elemental damage. So you see, you not only gain the effects by number of pieces worn but you also get different benefits depending on the type of armor that you wear. Allowing you to mix and match all sorts twatty sets of armor. And for weapons, I was thinking something like 'a chance to absorb magicka' for Glass Melee One-handed Weaponry and smaller chance to deplete target's magicka refilling your own, depending on magicka that target originally had for Glass Bows and Two-handed Melee Weaponry So that's it. Let me know if any one of these ideas is even remotely possible.
