LibertyPrime Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I was looking to add new mods to my game to make it refreshing once again. Anyone who has ever used it or currently uses it can recommend me it?
Reine Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 First thing that comes to mind for me: DISABLE MIMICS. Seriously. Mimics in most games hold rather nice loot to make up for the challenge. These typically just have a couple trash items and know how to use the healing potions you'd normally be looting from them, along with a rather iffy hitbox. Your life is far better with them gone. Otherwise, it's a pretty good overhaul. How he implemented it prevents it from causing trouble with most mods, and it doesn't give you a horrifying difficulty curve, except perhaps for the bandit/marauder leaders with 100 skill in weapon/armor and top tier gear at level 1. It even makes Security an actually useful skill. Only real complaint for me is the lighting adjustment, but that's mostly due to a poor PC. It's very customizable, though, so you can tweak just about anything on it you don't care for. And it definitely beats trying to set up FCOM without pulling out at least part of your hair.

Sounds good. Thanks for the short review. I'll be messing around with the INI settings for a while and fine tune it to my taste. I also use OOO 1.35. Hope not too many things conflict/clash.
