jaspersykes Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014    HI guys. As you can understand from the title, I have some performance issues going on. I have a Phenom II 1090T built on an ASUS Crosshair IV Formula supported with 4GB Ram (at the time I couldn't fit 2 of them in my board cuz of the cooling system and mainly there was no 8GB solo sticks out yet) and a GTX670.     What I expect from my system is as you can imagine a decent gameplay around 30 fps, but I am having like 15-20 with or without ENB. I've started using mod organiser lately and I will post my modlist down here but if you have any suggestions including some steps with mod organizer, I would love to know how to do it too, so it would be awesome if you explain it below too.     For the ones who will blame the RAM, I have played skyrim with harder ENB's and a lot more mods at 45 fps ext 60+ int.     So, that pretty much sums it up. Thank you in advance guys...   aMidianBorn Book of Silence - WeaponsApocalypse - Magic of SkyrimBrighter Torches with Bigger RadiusConvenient HorsesDark Dungeons for ENBDawnguardDeath Alternative - CapturedDeath Alternative - Your Money or Your LifeDifficult ArcheryDragonbornDramatic CloudsELE - Interior Lighting"Enhanced Character EditEnhanced Lights and FX","2.0.0Fine Face Textures for Men by UrshFores New Idles in Skyrim - FNISHearthFiresHelmet Toggle-1,"HighResTexturePack01","",""-1,"HighResTexturePack02","",""-1,"HighResTexturePack03","",""Immersive ArmorsImmersive HUD - iHUDImmersive NPC in the darkLorkhans Vision - Night Sky V2Lovely HairstylesNatural Lighting and AtmosphericsNo bethesda IntroNon-Essential ChildrenOBIS - Organized Bandits In SkyrimPortable CampsiteRandom Alternate StartReal IceRealistic Water TwoReProccer - Automated SkyRe patch generatorShowRaceMenu Precache KillerSkyrim - Enhanced CameraSkyrim Flora OverhaulSkyrim High Definition LODsSkyUISNOWStatic Mesh Improvement ModSuperior Lore-Friendly Hair - HD texturesT3nd0s Skyrim RedoneThe Dance of Death - A Killmove ModThe Eyes Of BeautyUFO - Ultimate Follower OverhaulUltimate HD Fire EffectsUnique Grasses and Groundcovers - Nature and Landscape EnhancementVivid Landscapes - All in OneWarburgs 3D Paper World MapWatercolor for ENB and Realistic Water TwoXP32 Maximum Skeleton   PS: I didn't touch the mod order, MO did it itself cuz otherwise it was saying that there was errors in the mod order.
lidowxxx Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Do you have problems with other games? If you got similar symptom/abnormally low fps too, then it's not the problem of your skyrim setup, i'd check that out first.  Is Skyrim running on your GTX670, not whatever integrated onboard GPU you might have on the motherboard? Are your video card drivers up to date? Try to uninstall and reinstall them.  Are any of your PC components overheating? Check with hardware monitor to make sure the temps are fine for your CPU/GPU.  Are you using ENBoost? Do you have correct memory settings for your system? Also try to delete skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini(backup them first) and restart the game, see if you still have low fps.
jaspersykes Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 Thank you for your response. I don't have any of the problems you've mentioned there. I have a temporary solution for the problem right now. I have deactivated all texture mods. Its probably cuz of ENBoost. I don't know what that is actually. I am checking it out right now. Can you give me some info about setting memory for my system. Thank you again.Â
lidowxxx Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 If you don't know about ENBoost, I'd recommend you give this a read, ENBoost is one the "must-have" things if you want to have a stable modded skyrim running, along with memory patch, the guide explains it well what it does and how to properly configure the settings.
jaspersykes Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 Thank you again, I'm checking that link right now. By the way I have another question which is rather easy; How much FPS would you expect from my system ?
lidowxxx Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Hard to say, it depends on a lot of factors, the resolution you play at, texture mods you install, ENB preset you use...etc, but if you are running the game at 1080p without ENB and many HD texture mods, you should be getting 60fps everywhere. GTX670 is a pretty decent card, and the phenom 1090T is no slouch either. Here are some benchmarks of the recent GPUs for skyrim if you are interested.
jaspersykes Posted July 31, 2014 Author Posted July 31, 2014 Thank you so much man. You are the best. I've spent the night configuring my ENB with ENBoost settings and tweaking the skyrim.ini as much as I can. Currently I am having 50+ fps exteriors and 60+ interiors. Thank you again
