kevinwrandolph Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Hello, I have only started playing with Skyrim in the last few weeks and decided to try out some of the mods. I'm trying to figure out how to get various Lovers Lab based mods to work properly. The first step seems to be making sure that I have the correct load order. Below is the load order that 'Loot' put things in, but things don't seem to work correctly (or at least as I thought they were supposed to). I listed all of the mods so that if there was a known issue with one that interferes, someone might be able to point it out. I highlighted the Lovers Lab based ones (at least I think that I got them all). If I am missing one or if there is a 'better' one, I don't have any problems making changes. I added my papyrus log as well. It seems like the scripts themselves are working, but the animations are not. I have run 'fnis user' prior to each test. . . just in case. Tes5Edit seems able to process the mods properly. It appears that there is some dirty values, but I wouldn't know where to begin to look to try and fix things in there. ButchDiavolo Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Hi Kevin, I am not an expert on this matter, but this is what I did with the load order and so far I haven't had any problem getting my LL mods to work: first up move the esm files as high to the top as possible so in your case Sexlab, Sexlab aroussed and SOS go before ZAZ animation pack. then esp wise, put the brawl bugs CE at the top of that particular part of the list. Followed by all the sexlab mods (I don't think the order really matters in that case) and then all the non-LL mods. Again, this load order works for me (unless I am not getting the full potential of SexLab and I don't know it). Also make sure that the mods are set up to your liking in the Mod Configuration part (In case you don't know where that is: press escape to get the setup/ save menu and click on mod configuration, took me fekkin ages to figure THAT one out LOL). Good luck, I hope this helps.
kevinwrandolph Posted July 26, 2014 Author Posted July 26, 2014 Hello, Thanks for the reply. I will give it a shot.
kevinwrandolph Posted July 26, 2014 Author Posted July 26, 2014 I changed the load order as per your suggestions. I tested it again. I got the same result. It appears that the scripts have begun, but that the sound & animations are not happening. In the config for Zaz, under player controls, I set it to have the AI control the character. The value of attempts is incremented to 1. I then switch back to the normal screen and the character is not able to move or such. I'm guessing that the animation scripts are running, but that I'm just not seeing them. I can't do anything with the character until I go back into the player control area and set it to release, at which point the reference value goes back to 0 and the selector for forcing the character to be AI controlled goes away. I think that I have the latest versions of the various mods. Do you know if there are any that the latest version might not be the best choice?
ButchDiavolo Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Hmm, did you try to reset the animation/ voice registry in the main Sexlab MCM? Or maybe just clean Sexlab via the MCM? maybe Sexlab is confused about a recent addition or something?
kevinwrandolph Posted July 26, 2014 Author Posted July 26, 2014 Nope. I didn't do any of that. I didn't know that I was supposed to. I will try it though.
Nightmyste Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 now i don't know what you were expecting the mods would do, but it looks to me like you're missing som mods that use Sexlab an Devious devices assets, as those two are only frameworks and do nothing by themselves
kevinwrandolph Posted July 26, 2014 Author Posted July 26, 2014 I tried it again, but the same result. The player characters arousal got up to 100, the NPC is at around 70. It seems again like an animation sequence is supposed to happen but they just stand there staring at each other. I was expecting either an animation or something to 'happen' at which point I would select for the characters to do something. I openly admit that I an 'lost' and don't really know what to expect. Screenshots I have seen imply that the characters engage in a given activity, but not on my computer. As much as anything, I just want to see what the mods do.
NoxTM Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Wrong sub-forum actually. Just saying.. http://www.loverslab.com/forum/39-skyrim-technical-support/ http://www.loverslab.com/forum/50-technical-support-sexlab-framework/
ButchDiavolo Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 *slaps forehead* you know... you don't have any mods listed that actually DO anything... SexLab Aroused merely adds an aroussal parameter to the player and NPCs but it doesn't have any actions. Aroussed just makes it more likely that anything will happen. Just as Jack said before. You will need to get a mod that creates action. Check out this forum thread to see what kind of mods are available: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/19588-sexlab-index/. Depending on what you are into, you could start by adding a simple mod like SexLab Approach (which needs SexLab Attraction as well!), where NPCs will walk up to you and either whistle, make comments or ask for sex. That way you can at least see what animations there are. Sorry I didn't click on to this earlier, I had just woken up. Jacks comment made me look at you load list again and noticed (as well) that there are no "action"mods.
kevinwrandolph Posted July 26, 2014 Author Posted July 26, 2014 No worries. I knew I was either doing something wrong or that something was missing. I thought that the ZaZAnimationPack had animations in it. It looks like it has a bunch, but I wasn't sure if I just had things setup incorrectly. Thanks for the help.
ButchDiavolo Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 SexLab and ZaZ do have animations in them, but on their own, they do nothing. They are part of the framework. What you need(ed) are mods that actually use those animations. And that is what is/ was missing so far. The link to that forum post has a whole list of them, so you can pick whichever strike your fancy. Just click on the buttons next to "spoiler" to see the mods (plugins really) for that particular category. Hope you got it to work and enjoy
