medic975 Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 So I've been modifying a number of armors for my Custom Citrus Body and it's been going great. However on a few conversions I'm getting a broken weight slider between the 0 and 1 files and they're usually a kb or two off. I'm following the nightasy tutorials and exporting without welding vertices but I cannot seem to keep the file sizes the same. I'm wondering if it's due to me using the scale tool for some of the conversions. I'm converting the skimpy demon hunter armor and the two pieces which seem to give me issues are the breast plate and the belt. All others come across fine with working weight sliders. On those two armors though the only manipulation I did between the 0 and 1 weights was I used the scale tool to bump them up a couple of levels before exporting. I did redo the skin and bsdemember on them as well. But not much in the way of vertex manipulation. Is this a bad method to use? It's not a huge deal as I'm only experiencing this problem on 4 of my armors out of dozens of conversions and all but one are intricate meshes, LB Dragon Princess, Aradia's Snake Rogue, Skimpy Demon hunter, and oddly enough, Killer Kleo's Temple Priest. Which is not all that intricate. Other than the broken weight slider's the armors work well in game.
rhody01 Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Nightasy states you can not redo anything between the 0 and 1 versions with out reskinning. meanning if you redo the BSDismember and skinwrap then it will break. I'm currently doing so mods myself and running into problems but I'm not touching any of the skin/BSDismember modifiers. Did you weld the 0 version? Not in the export dialog but as a step to work with sizing the mesh. Rewatch the vid. I watch it a bunch of times and see steps I miss. If your 0 weight is good, it's just a matter of importing the 1 weight body, scaling and making minimal adjustments and exporting, saving as 1 weight. There are smooths that he adds also make sure you do everything in the order he does and you shouldn't have trouble. but you did mention you redid the skin and BSDismember and that's where I think you messed up. Good luck, R
medic975 Posted July 18, 2014 Author Posted July 18, 2014 Gotcha. Rewatching some of the vids, it has been awhile and you're right I was completely forgetting the weld step. I'm surprised any of my conversions are working.lol Was also redoing the skin and BsDismember. I think I just got really lucky that only 4 of these have exploding vertices.
