Since this is my first bethesda game i have no clue about modding and stuff, so i was wondering is there a tutorial for modding for skyrim in general? more specifically for textures (been bugging me cause i keep getting that glossy blue/purple texture thingy)

I believe you can get a (free) student license of 3ds max if you are really uncomfortable with blender.
