Guest emilio Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 so I've downloaded and am using this ENB as a base Gameplay Performance ENB http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53100/? and am trying to switch to a more robust DOF profile. I've switched out the enbeffectprepass.fx & enbeffectprepass.fx.ini files, so all should be good right? Nope. Something about this ENB causes DOF to eat chunks out of tree leaves and the like. image album http://imgur.com/a/PAqhk#0 (the effect is more pronounced with stronger DOF settings) does anyone have any clue about why this is happening? I know this doesn't happen with other ENBs.
CeeTeeDee Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 DOF effects are integrated into an ENB preset in different ways, some presets rely on the enbeffectprepassfx file and its ini more than others (like for sharpening/antialiasing effects) so maybe try a different one. heres a nice big list of Kyo's various DOF effects files from the Wilds enb collection. also when removing/replacing ENB files be sure to check that the 'enbseries' folder itself doesn't have any duplicate files. its actually easier to remove everything but the enbseries.ini / enblocal.ini from the root directory and have all your enb files in the 'enbseries' folder, except the sweetfx files ofc.
Guest emilio Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 nice! yeah i've just figured out that i can keep everything nice and tidy in the enbseries folder. thanks
