bsqboomy Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I just recently upgraded skse version 1.6.16 to version 1.7.1. After I did that skyrim crashes on startup like it does when you are missing a required file. Does anyone know why this is happening? I downgraded back and it starts up fine but i would like to upgrade it.
Killikrates~2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Does your SKSE.ini (Skyrim\Data\SKSE\SKSE.ini) contain this: [Memory]DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768ScrapHeapSizeMB=256
bsqboomy Posted July 15, 2014 Author Posted July 15, 2014 i made a skse.ini and included those lines but it is still crashing.
TnTTnT Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 How did you upgrade SKSE? Normally, I will use the 7z version and extract all files and folder into skyrim folder.
bsqboomy Posted July 16, 2014 Author Posted July 16, 2014 thats how i have always done it. im pretty sure it has something to do with the skse ini
bahamut2119 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 It doesnt likely somethings missing almost everyone here is using that skse.ini with the exact same text I would try reinstalling skse you should also have this in there. [General] ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 There may be something else to blame verify your steam install and double check non of your mods got messed with altho if you did what you said all esp's/esm's should of been unaffected.
bsqboomy Posted July 16, 2014 Author Posted July 16, 2014 well i have tried reinstalling and made sure the skse ini is good. All of my mods are working properly. I guess ill downgrade for now and try it when the next update comes out
