medic975 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 I'm modifying an outfit for personal use and the conversion went extremely well, with one exception. The textures are borked and repointing them to the files in the nif file, redoing the bsdismember and skin in 3ds Max does nothing either. Although it looks great before I export it. I've tried it out in both Outfit Studio and 3ds Max. Here's a couple of screens. Is it the Alpha Property? What the outfit should look like How it looks in game.

ScreenShot13.jpg "repointing them to the files in the nif" Assuming that I've understood correctly, you just edit the texture paths in nifskope after the conversion? If yes, that's wrong, you need to copy the BSShaderLightingProperty & NiAlphaProperty from the original outfit to your conversion, this needs to be done in Nifskope. Does your outfit has "black" dots on it or it has a dark-grey color when you check it in nifskope? If yes, right click on it -> Mesh -> Face Normals -> then do the same but choose Smooth Normals, you need to do this for every piece.
medic975 Posted July 10, 2014 Author Posted July 10, 2014 Thanks, Shocky! I didn't know about the mesh face and smooth normals. It's perfect now.
