I do have a bunch of necromancy mods, but that one looks epic with how many new perks it adds. I can't find a mod that adds a ton of necromancy based perks to conjuration except this one. It also adds tons of necromancy spells. But, from comments...(I'd use the non-monster mod version since that one is very broken)...its pretty broken later on in the perk tree/levels. Is this accurate or is it pretty safe to play? Its old and was left abandoned...but...it adds so many necromancy perks. Its just, from what I read, late in the tree it breaks the game and that sucks if accurate. Anything else that is similar?I got the corpse preperation+vile art of necromancy+undeath already.Apocalypse spell package and the basic stuff already recommended. Nothing really else that specifically adds a shit ton of necromancy spells+perks though. But CP+VAON are all epic for realistic necromancy I just don't want to use it if it breaks the game later in the perk tree. Which would suck cause it adds so many new things. Nor would I use it if it corrupts saves or anything like that. I know there is lord of the dead, but I heard that was completely game breaking and was very badly scripted. So I won't use that at all. Just Checking Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I played with it for a while and it was hella fun, but in the end I decided it wasn't especially necessary. It's cool to be able to command literal hoards of the undead and lead them into a fight, but as bazaba there said, you become fairly OP that way. If you want to play as an unstoppable, all powerful necromancer, by all means use it, but otherwise you can get most of your necromancy based needs from some of the other more stable mods. I've just stuck with SkyRe, Apocalypse and Undeath, and it's worked for me pretty well. That being said, I'm not really sure what about PsiKotic's mod is broken, as I never got that far in the skill tree (damn my minuscule attention span). I do know that commanding your monsters requires other mods that allow that kind of stuff, and the recommended mod (Nature of the Beast 2) tried to keep track of too many different things for my computer to run it effectively. Also, having a million followers could start to slow your game down before too long. I think if you just want to make a new, just for kicks character and play with Psikotic's mod on that for a while, you should be fine, especially if you use Mod Organizer to install. If you're worried about it corrupting or bloating one of your important saves, just leave it.
JBloggz Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 The spells are pretty funny simply for the fact that they're either broken as in, they do too much damage, or broken as in, they explode and deal no damage. The spell I think thats called Decay? or something, it makes any target explode into smoke and hundreds of metal fish for some reason, but it really doesn't do anything but look ridiculous.
