Revan94 Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Skyrim keeps crashing immediately on startup because sexlab is loading before skyui or Skyrimmenuconfig, however nexus mod manager wont let me move either of them above sexlab. I even tried changing load order through appdata and skyrim data folders but to no avail. I'm very new to modding so I'm sure I'm missing something, so help is appreciated
Revan94 Posted June 13, 2014 Author Posted June 13, 2014 No good, I tried both LOOT and BOSS and for some reason they always put sexlab loading before skyui and mod config
TnTTnT Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Sexlab.esm should be loaded before skyUI.esp, that's normal. Crash before menu shown normally came from your game missing some master file. Use TES5Edit to check which mod that need other mod that you miss. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25859/ Or you can try Wyre Bash to check as well. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1840/
nutluck Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 What TnTTnT said, a crash there is a load order issue. either something out of order or a missing master file. Since you tried LOOT it is likely a missing requirement for one of your mods is the cause. Try the things s/he suggest and it should tell you what the missing file is.
Revan94 Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 Well I tried TES5Edit and it didn't say anything that would indicate it was missing a file. I tried to play around with it and what I found was that I can use every mod with the skse startup but as soon as I try to use sexlab it crashes on startup. The only time it doesn't crash when I have sexlab installed is when I start it from the steam client, but I assume that's just because it's not loading sexlab. Is the problem a clash between sexlab and skse or something else?
nutluck Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 No sexlab requires SKSE, it is listed in the required mods of sexlab.
TnTTnT Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Which Sexlab Framework and SKSE version you use? Sexlab 1.5+ need SKSE 1.7 while the older Sexlab can work with SKSE 1.6.
nutluck Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I would try uninstalling sexlab, deleting it and then download it again. Maybe the file got corrupted during the download. If that is not it then not sure what could be the cause, since sexlab works fine for the vast majority of people and doesn't cause CTD on load window. Did you try the FAQ and troubleshooting forum threads for sexlab and try all the stuff in them?
