Images still loading from ignored users posts?

So I was viewing the "Show your Skyrim counterpart" thread when Miss Bonjovi posted a huge image dump. No problem there, really, but it's massive, and as such delays the loading of any other images from other users in the thread.

 

In an effort to work around that, I added Miss Bonjovi to my ignore list (temporarily) in order to try and let some of the other images on the page load, but they're not. Instead, it seems the page is still loading in all of the images Miss Bonjovi posted in the background. Is there an easy way in the sites code to 'fix' that?
